Community American Tourist Assaulted by Bar Owner for Filming Venue
shocky2012 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
I get where you’re coming from, but I don’t really watch his content for the dating or “get laid” stuff. What I’ve found helpful is his material on self-growth, mindset, and bouncing back after setbacks — especially breakups. I’m more into the personal development side of things than the player mentality. -

In the real world, words have consequences. You have to be accountable for what comes out of your mouth. Personally, I wouldn't resort to violence—but a lot of people would. There are just certain things you don’t say to the wrong person. People have literally lost their lives over saying things like “suck my d*.”** So it's not about whether it's okay or not. It's about understanding reality and knowing that not everyone plays by the same rules. How about… just treat people with respect? It blows my mind how some people have zero manners in public. -

So the guy threatening the owner acts like he's about that life, but when his sh*t gets pushed back, he runs to the police and snitches? Lol. Yeah, I don’t think he should go back to Pattaya, to be honest. That’s one of the easiest ways to go missing. His arrogance and lack of self-awareness put him in this position, not the filming. -

Report Cannabis Chaos: 12,000 Thai Shops Face Closure Under New Rules
shocky2012 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Exactly. A good drug dealer will not kill his customers. That's nonsense. They're making money off the customers. Why would they try to get them killed? They kill their customer, they kill their income. -
Report Thailand Tightens Cannabis Laws, Dispensaries Must Transform

We aint talking about tourist destination -- dont deviate from what we're talking about. Has Canada done a good job when it comes to weed or no? I don't know about Vancouver as I've never been there. But I'm born, bred, raised from Montreal. I know a lot from there. Stick to the topic. -

Report Cannabis Chaos: 12,000 Thai Shops Face Closure Under New Rules

Thanks for sharing your experience, really thoughtful post. I agree with you on a few things: today's weed is definitely stronger than it was 20+ years ago, and potency can absolutely play a role in triggering issues for some people, especially those who may already be predisposed to things like anxiety or psychosis (I am hence why it's important to pick the right strain). That said, I think it's important to be careful with the idea of weed being “laced”, especially with something like fentanyl. While it's often repeated in the media or by law enforcement, there’s actually very little to no evidence of dealers intentionally lacing weed with fentanyl. It doesn’t make financial or pharmacological sense, and would be a terrible business move. If anything, the rare cases that do come up are likely cross-contamination or misreported toxicology results. -
I really hope that amidst all this political chaos, they still manage to guarantee that every single weed shop in Thailand has at least one licensed doctor or dentist on site to protect Thailand from these criminals! Gotta love the timing, government in freefall, but let’s make sure we’re cracking down on people buying a plant without a note from their local orthodontist. I can see the train coming full speed from miles away and I’ve got my popcorn ready, 🍿

He did a tremendous job at coming back making the United States of America great again. They said he couldn’t done it, but he did it. Now he's signing amazing deals all over the world, isn't that a beautiful thing? Don't believe the fake news, it's time to make this country great again with the help of amazing wonderful people all around the nation. And don't forget he has such power over Canada like you wouldn't believe it. Big beautiful bills is what he's about. In less than 2 years his administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of the USA. *Donald Trump Jr voice*

Report Thailand Tightens Alcohol Sales: New Rules Take Effect

Pretty sure the mom & pop shops across the country will keep selling all day long, so yeah — nothing to see here. Thailand’s obsession with trying to control absolutely everything is something I’ve rarely seen anywhere else. I think it has a lot to do with the old guard still clinging to power in the government. Honestly, I really don’t think we’d be seeing stuff like this if someone like Pita were Prime Minister. He seems far more in touch with current global realities, unlike the people in charge right now who, frankly, often seem completely disconnected from how the world actually works.- 187 replies

Report Cannabis Advocates to Rally July 7 Against Recriminalisation Plans
shocky2012 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Totally agree. Some people, you just can’t have a real conversation with, they’re not interested in facts or nuance. They just want to shout the loudest and push whatever fear-based narrative they’ve absorbed. Lately, I keep seeing these bizarre, exaggerated stories floating around, like “someone mutilated their feet on weed” or “they smoked and started stabbing people.” It’s laughable. Most of the time, the people spreading this stuff have never even touched cannabis, let alone taken the time to understand it. It’s wild how deep propaganda can run, you plant a seed of fear, water it with a few headlines, and next thing you know, people are convinced cannabis is turning cities into warzones. Meanwhile, they’ll down five whiskeys a night without blinking. Honestly, the most dangerous thing about weed for some people is that it might make them question what else they’ve been lied to about. -

Report Cannabis Advocates to Rally July 7 Against Recriminalisation Plans
shocky2012 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Hey, I get that there’s a lot of myths about weed out there, but let’s talk facts. Cannabis is not some harmless party relic from the ‘70s — it’s a medicine and a recreational substance used responsibly worldwide. Yes, cannabis is psychoactive, but the vast majority of users do NOT experience psychotic episodes. Scientific studies show that psychosis linked to cannabis is extremely rare and usually associated with pre-existing conditions or heavy, prolonged use of very high THC products. Violence is NOT a typical effect of cannabis. In fact, many studies find cannabis tends to reduce aggression and anxiety in most users. You are 100% wrong on this one. Phuket and Pattaya have their own complex social issues, but blaming cannabis for violent outbursts is misleading and ignores bigger factors like alcohol abuse, economic stresses, and other social problems. Countries that have legalized cannabis, like Canada and parts of the US, track these stats closely — no spike in violence has been linked to cannabis legalization. So let me get this straight: you're blaming cannabis for violence… But alcohol, the legal, socially accepted drug that’s directly linked to: ✅ Drunk driving deaths ✅ Domestic violence ✅ Bar fights and street brawls ✅ Liver disease and long-term health damage ✅ Blackouts and reckless behavior …gets a free pass? Meanwhile, cannabis users are mostly at home eating snacks, watching Netflix, and forgetting where they left their phone, not starting fights in Bangla Road at 2 a.m. The data doesn’t lie: Alcohol is involved in 40%+ of violent crimes globally Cannabis? Almost none. In fact, it’s often used to treat anxiety and aggression. You’re worried about someone giggling at a tree or ordering too many snacks? -

I hate how there's so many bars, it's so in your face all the time! Ban alcohol! /s People don't like it cause stigma, you can't apply this logic to anything else hamburgers, massages, etc. Stop trying to pretend it's anything else. So what if there are lots of cannabis stores? Did the cannabis store touch you? -

I don't. I see a bunch of drunk morons everyday though at the local bars yelling and smoking cigarettes. -
The SDNY (Southern District of New York) is straight-up the toughest federal corruptions office in the U.S. Their conviction rate is around 98%. If they bring charges, they’re confident they can win. The lead prosecutor on this case, Christy Slavik, is one of the very best in the country when it comes to closing arguments. She’s known for her powerful courtroom presence and precision in sealing convictions. In other words, when she steps up for closings, it's usually game over. She’s the one delivering the final statement later today. So no, this isn’t a slap-on-the-wrist scenario against a mega-celebrity. They’ve brought the top-tier team and have cut charges to focus on what they’re certain they can prove. This is as serious and as strategic as federal prosecutions get. While I don't think Diddy will do life, I do think he's looking at significant time. 10-20 years would be my guess.
