  1. I feel too sick about this bloke to react, still I do. My mother died of cancer and so many people do; a famous star in Holland also believed some 'quack' and died within a few months, she could have been saved. Rudy Carrell [famous in Holland and Germany] died of cancer and he was a year younger then my mother was when she died, but he was ten times as rich. He propably would have given all his money for a cure. My grandma was only 53, when she died of breastcancer.

People with cancer are so easely exploited, because there is often no cure, so they have nothing to lose ! There should ... I don't know ... what if the 'quack' is really not a 'quack', but an inventor ? If YOU are in that position ? Would YOU give your money away towards a possible cure ? I guess I would, unless my heirs stop me ...

  2. :D What must the guy have been thinking ? He is 62 and the girl 26 ... surely 'you' must consider this a business-loan [never-to-be-paid-back] and take 'your' loses; this bloke didn't take his loses and he will lose his own life now also. This is a stupid thing by both party's; the girl must have been aware of the danger, when a Farang feels 'undressed' ... :o
  3. Hi: Trying to get a bit of information related to opening a VoIP in Thailand ... Trying to build some knowledge for future opportunities.

    Thanks

    Dr. B

"NASA spent 8 years and $12 billion developing a pen that could write in space. It needed to be able to work in zero gravity, at a range of temperatures, and be able to write on any surface. The Russians used a pen. - Widely accepted Urban Myth."

I did not know VOIP was illegal ... about this urban myth. The pen was developed by Paul C. Fisher. He invested about $1 million of its own funds. Nasa did not invest any, because they had invested $4,382.50 previous in pens and 'the people' thought that was too much. But approximately 400 pens were purchased from Fisher at $6 per unit for Project Apollo. The Soviet Union also purchased 100 of the Fisher pens, and 1,000 ink cartridges.

Fisher continues to market his space pens as the writing instrument that went to the Moon and has spun off this effort into a separate corporation, the Fisher Space Pen Co. Source

  4. :DIf I was his lawyer, I'd say : " :o Your 'onor ... :D The man and woman had an argue because she was drunk and had taken drugs. She wanted to get out of the car herself and my client drove off ... never to hear from her again. The defence thinks she might have walked on the middle of the road to a certain death ... :D "

    :D Would I be a good lawyer ? :D

  5. :D ...

"I have been ripped off by Thais in business dealings three times over the years. ... The worst thing a farang can do when he realizes he has been ripped off is to confront the thief in an aggressive manner. Better just to cut your losses and walk away. Live to play another day."

You got laid off three times this year ? :DHow ? Teach us protection ... :D

"I too have been ripped off in business. Once by a 56 year old Thai woman that I trusted and once by a Brit. The Thai woman got away with it and having my life threatened made trying to get my money back seem unimportant."
Bleedin' ! Got your life threatened by a 56 year old woman ?! :D And no way to to defend yourself [against her brothers, nephews, neighbours and the police], I guess :D ...

The violence against Farang, but also amongst eachother is great in Thailand. Maybe it's worse in some other countries like Colombia [ :Dto all you Thai !], but living here in the Netherlands I can say life is very violent in Thailand. We have much diamond dealers in Amsterdam, but there is NEVER a shoot-out over gems by dealers. Not even violent robberies; most of the robberies of gems [if ever] are sophistocated overhere :D , even our criminals are sophistocated.

I was planning to move to Thailand once, :o but I'd better keep reading http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/ for a while and get myself a bodyguard :D in advance.

  6. THAT was the silly thing: just because of the links to :D sites! But they left Google, Yahoo etc. etc. etc. untouched :o (???)

So in fact anyone with a homepage can suffer because when your hoster is hosting some "dirty" money makers you can forget your site in Thailand!

My hoster (in Holland :D ) is trying to avoid these problems in his contract:

"You will not knowingly or recklessly post, link to or transmit:

any material that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harmful, malicious, libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, profane or otherwise objectionable in any way; or....."

There is the whole problem. What is wrong with the Dutch by the way??

    :D ... I might know, being Dutch ...

We now have proof, THAT THIS FORUM IS MONITORED (as only stupid posters wouldn't have suspected, long time ago).

LESS THAN TWO HOURS AFTER SOME IDIOT POSTED A LINK TO A PROXI, THAT PROXI WAS BANNED BY INSP.

:D ... :D ... I don't want to argue with the TiT cyberinspector, but I guess the posting of a leak is rather stupid :D.

  7. :DBleedin' ... why was a mail-provider [www.terra.es] banned ? :D

Is it not just hard porn that is :D banned from the net ? :D

:D I will not put a link to a Dutch site, to ask you, if you can enter it from TiT ... :D I might get banned myself :D.

To what extend reaches this 'bannishment' of the TiT cyberinspector ? :o

  8. There's a famous San Francisco police officer who poses as street prostitute, and as soon as she has enough evidence that you are going to pay she pulls out the shackles. The real version. And backup.

I hear she's very attractive, too. Which goes to show that some countries go *just a bit overboard* with weeding out illegal prostitution :D

:D Yes, I know about this practise; to provoke is illegal in the Netherlands. The American's have even provoked a Dutch bloke in Spain to provide them with drugs and had him extradited. Now tell me ... :olet's say you are not an angel, walking the streets or enjoing your holiday. One bloody pretty 'gal' walks upto you and her 'thing is obvious' [you think] or some blokes ask you to make a fortune with 'a little deal'. :D Personally I've never paid for sex, nor have I done a drugs deal. However, I can imagine me having a noughty day and think to my self : 'Well, once going with a prostitute can't be wrong', or, being a Dutch and the Dutch are great slave- and drugdealers since the 16th century ['koopmansgeest', translates as 'merchants mind'], I might be persuaded into a one-time lucrative deal. So provoking is a crime on itself :D.

  9. I have since met a Thai woman in the UK. I have never been happier. I talked to her about buying property over in Thailand and she adviced me not to. Do i trust her, absolutely. Were of similar age and have a very understanding relationship.

LOL. Some never learn. I look forward to your post when she scams you.

    Couldn't agree more ... elGrande.

    :o ... trust any woman :D ?

  10. :D Wow ... heavy visited topic. What I understand about the whole thing, is a check-up of the background of invested money. Foreign investments are not illegal, but restricted. I understand that at the 'borderline of investments' an investigation will be held to check if the money invested is legal or illegal.

    :o ... I guess with drugs-money invested, you'll have a problem now ...

[Again, maybe I misunderstand the whole thing ... then please let me know]
