  1. - No 90 day reporting. - No visa worries ever again. - Not subject to future rule changes. - Complete peace of mind. - Makes life a whole lot easier. - Worth every baht, IMO.
  2. It often doesn’t matter how carefully you drive if thousands are driving around p***ed.
  3. Are there only 305 days in the year where you live?
  4. I don’t mind helping with the interviews and training.
  5. I uploaded a screenshot of the SSO app to apply for the TP and it was fine.
  6. I had an MRI at Prachachuen Imaging Group (www.mrithailand.com) in August 2019. It was 8,500 baht. It was in Bang Na though, not Pattaya. Good service and it got my frozen shoulder sorted out.
  7. By the time the restrictions are lifted, everyone taking a long haul holiday this year will have done so, and to countries that have already lifted them. It could be a year before those people in employment can take leave for another trip. Thailand is missing out massively. But I’m sure they think people are queuing up at airports as they dither ready to come here. They’re not.
  8. Beware of those with a valve as you may not be protecting others. https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/n95-kf94-which-mask-is-best-protecting-against-covid-19-2022-01-18/ From the above article: “Masks with an exhaust valve do not prevent the spread of the virus to other people.”
  9. If it’s anything like in my condo they’ll just throw it all in the nearest bin, regardless of its colour/purpose.
  10. I doubt very much it was recent. Most sensible people were vaccinated early on in the pandemic, with boosters mid to late last year (in countries other than Thailand where he would have been vaccinated). I had my booster in December and I’m still here.
  11. Thanks for your replies. Very helpful. In the end, I contacted my insurance company (Roojai) as I remember them having a Roadside Assistance service. They sent someone out within 30 minutes to jump start the car. The service was free and you can call them out twice a year. I then drove to Cockpit to have the old battery checked and it was at the end of its life. Got a new GS battery installed for 1,942 baht. Result. Thanks again everyone.
  12. I’ve just returned from a trip abroad (two months away) and my car battery is completely dead. I’ve always replaced it early before so I’ve never had this problem. Does anyone know of a good battery replacement call-out service? I’m in Klong Toey, Bangkok. It’s a 2016 Honda Civic RS. Thanks in advance.
  13. You can’t really blame Asia in general, as the Philippines is index linked. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/state-pensions-annual-increases-if-you-live-abroad/countries-where-we-pay-an-annual-increase-in-the-state-pension
  14. Complete two forms, one in blue and one in black and wait until you get there before attaching the photograph. It’ll only take an extra couple of minutes and you can’t go wrong.
  15. I understand that in some cars the airbags are disabled if the seat belts are not fastened so as to stop them inflating if the car is hit whilst parked. But that could be done with the ignition as well though.
  16. I’ve used DHL numerous times without any problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend them.
  17. Should be a minimum of 30 years for murder. We deserve protection from these maniacs.
  18. The name of the hotel still appears toward the end of the OP.
