  1. Good day gents, Anyone know of a hospital in Bkk where I could get an RT-PCR test done on a Sunday, and reasonably priced? My flight is on Tuesday evening, need to visit Chaeng Wattana on Monday, that leaves only Sunday within the 72 hour test window. Went to St Louis in Sathorn, they asked for a whopping 4500 baht. Thanks in advance,
  2. I went to St Louis hospital in Bkk yesterday just to check and confirm their price for a RT-PCR test, and they asked for 4500 baht. That's ridiculously high. Anyone know where I could it get it cheaper in Bkk, on a Sunday morning please, so govt hospitals don't do it, unless an emergency.
  3. Just go to your local electricity office with your bank passbook and passport, and they will set it up for you. Had done this when I first bought my condo in Bkk in 2013. For water bills, condo services include it in their CAM fees, don't know about stand alone houses.
  4. Correct. At Chaeng Wattana, you can come in upto 45 days before the date of the extension
  5. No, it has to be done in a hospital, and tested by an accredited laboratory
  6. And India is fixed at Indian Rupees 500 for RT-PCR, approx $7
  7. My return flight is for the 1st of Feb evening; destination country requires Covid test 72 hours before departure. So I really should get tested by 30th Jan Sunday - any pointers where, please? I live in Bangkok right on the river.
  8. Many thanks, William. Got a slot at this place.
  9. Many thanks! Got a slot for 14th Jan. Great help!
  10. All correct above, except that you can go in the last 45 days of the 90 day permission to get your one year extension.
  11. The names of the hospitals are all written in Thai, I couldn't find the Thai Japanese sports centre.
  12. Absolutely correct. They are dependent on imports and "gifts"
  13. Watermark Chaophraya River is an excellent condo, 3 swimming pools, full gym, tennis, basketball, squash etc. Lovely breeze from the river.
  14. I had two AZ in India 8 months back. Have tried various hospitals walk in, including on the QueQ app, there are simply no slots available. India is giving almost 10 million shots a DAY and here with 65 million total or 1/20th of India's population they can't find enough shots.
  15. Thank you very much, Ubonjoe. Very grateful, just as I'm sure the other posters on this site are, with your quick responses!
  16. Good morning Ubonjoe, Am trying to change my flight to 1st Feb now, so that I can visit CW within 45 days of the 15th March extension. Quick question: Will I need to again take all the paperwork, 800 k proof, house papers etc? And which form to fill out please? Thank you for your help, always. God bless.
  17. Wish I could change my return flight but flat purchase and registration etc needs to be done end Jan. Will take a re-entry at airport and try n return - if restrictions allow - before 15th March. But what's surprising is that earlier it just took 2 visits to CW and I got the full year's stamp. Did the officer err, or am I wrong?
  18. Good day Ubonjoe, I came to Thailand on 10th Dec on a 60 day TV (my previous re-entry extn of stay having expired in March 2021). On 15th, I went to CW and applied with all the paperwork, previous Non-O, etc, to change the TV to Non-O based on retirement. Was given today's date. Surprisingly, and unlike in the past, today they just gave me an extension until 15 March 2022 (or only 90 days) and asked me to come again within 45 days before that, to get the full year's stamp. I'm in trouble now, coz I have a return flight on 23rd Jan, to complete a flat purchase back home, and if I don't return before 15th March, this visa is gone, and I start all over again. Very surprised, coz earlier once I'd lost my passport, came in on a 60 day TV on new passport, and was all done in 2 visits to CW.
  19. Your "good luck" wish is apt, coz I can tell you from personal experience that they never answer the phone, all day.
  20. Good morning Ubonjoe. Glad to see you here! A quick question for you, please: I've converted my 60 day tourist visa to a Non O (retirement) again, previous multi entry re-entry having expired while outside Thailand. Question: if I take a single re-entry stamp on departure at Suvarnabhumi, what is its validity, I.e. by when must I re-enter Thailand? Many thanks!
