Emirates fares out of BKK, travel 22nd January to 30th November, book by 29th January.

    Good find.

First time I see appropriate prices for Emirates to Germany (Eco).

Just searched Munich in May, 23330 Baht with acceptable night flights both directions.

    (usual prices about 38000 Baht).

Only disadvantage is the 20 kg baggage allowance compared to their usual 30 kg.

or connect the german embassy in BKK and ask for help.

Don't expect anything from them, except you have some sort of legal title or the like.

Even in Germany offices won't give addresses without court rule.

Unfriendly, rude and arrogant in any way.

So better save you this frustration.

    Contacting Thai embassy in Berlin?

    Maybe the same result.

All I found is a Thai society ("Verein") in Munich.

I'm sure this would be hot news if it were actually happening. Anything on the MFA's own website?

VERY hot. Not only in Thaivisa.

Zero(!) news that I noticed so far.

(and I really read too much says my Thai wife)

A German guy (living on retirement extension) married his Thai girl friend in Banglamung (Pattaya) on September 30th, 2016.

Not a word about proof of funds.

He struggles yearly to get enough combined income/funds for his extension.

(it should be clear that funds are needed to live in Thailand based on marriage, that's an age old topic).

Zillions of reasons for rejection based on required documents/certificates/translations etc.

The last hurdle for the German was that he had to rush home to pick the receipt(!) for having paid for a stamp from the MFA.

Where (at which office) was that Italian guy rejected and no reason given?

What is his current status of staying in Thailand (visa, extension)?

Or did I get it completely wrong and he want to marry in Italy???

I think Thailand will go all digital money like Sweden.
It s time to embrass technology. Don't you think?

Absolutely no and definitely not Swedish in any way.

    Don't make Thailand Swedish.

No more privacy, all money flow accessible to the snoopers?

And why abolish such a small note like 1000 Baht?

If you want to buy a 3 million Baht house in notes you need a big backpack.

I love the 1000 Swiss franc notes (35'000 Baht) and they will NOT be abolished.

The sick Euro dictators want to abolish the 500 Euro note.

    #^&$ #&*& !
