KhunHeiniken I presume your Foxtel Go is still working , I downloaded V3.6.2 but still no luck.
-
Mate ,is your Foxtel Go still working , mine no longer works.I can get in but the circular thing just goes round and round , even with a faster internet.

Ubonjoe , are you saying that when I do my 4th extension in Feb 2020, all I need is to show the 800K in my bank book ? I had always done a letter from Oz Embassy previously.
I asked because my overseas remittance has either FTT or BTN .Proof the 800k baht came from abroad is never required to apply for an extension of stay.
It is only required to apply for 90 day non immigrant visa entry at immigration based upon qualifying for an extension of stay.
Note for others seeing this topic from over 3 years ago please pay attention to the date on any post you quote. -
And that would mean you would only have 9 months in Thailand and not a year then , correct ?
You should learn to read. I said one year once you enter Thailand. But you have three months to use the visa. i.e. if issued on 1 May you have to 1 Aug to enter Thailand.- 2

Thank you , that clarifies my question.

Does a person on a Non O Visa 90 days, converted to a year still have to leave the country every 90 days ?
-
Lol after all these years I now know what A stands for.
The O-A is specific to long stay and being over 50 agreed, the proof of which is submitted to a Thai Embassy/Consulate to obtain the Visa.
The Non O can also be issued specific for being over 50.
The only difference between an 'O' and 'O-A' is the permitted length of stay.
'O' is for 'other', 'A' is for 'annual'.
Annual Extensions are also issued for specific reasons.
Retirement - must be over 50 and granted a Non Imm class Visa.
Marriage - must have been granted a Non Imm class Visa
Police orders do not state a specific Visa class, other than Non Imm type.

Ok just googled it and yes I can get a re entry permit at the airport , but it has to be before flying out on the same day.
-
So what you are saying is that I can travel out of the country without a re entry permit and when I arrive back I could just pay for a re entry at at airport ? Would that be at the queue why they process incoming passengers ?
Wrong -
Madmen, I have an extension of stay but spend only 8 months a year here in 2 blocks of 4 months , I come on a 4 months travel insurance each time , will that insurance not be accepted by IO ?
Travel insurance of any kind Will be only valid on a tourist visa.
-
I always have a multi re-entry permit which doesn't stipulate the 90 days maximum out of the country , maybe the single re entry is only 90 days.
No such thing mentioned on the TM.8 form 'Re-Entry Permit' and I have it right in front of me.
That said, I wouldn't put it past them to have some homemade forms (meaning by your local immigration profit center) with different text circulating in this fair kingdom ...
Anyway, I too stayed out for 5 months this year without any issues on return. -
Re entry permits are issued at IO office , I doubt they would issue it at the airport.
i thought you get the re-entry permit from the airport, not the local immigration department, or am i wrong -
For the last 4 years I have spent about only 5 months of every year in Thailand with no problem.

Having the wife register at the hotel is the simplest way to avoid reporting back to IO , that's what I do also.
I did my extension here in Ubon in August and i have never been asked for a TM30 form. Still the same since I have not had a recent entry to the country or stayed in hotel that reported me for awhile.
Not sure how long the reports are kept in their database for online reports done by hotels. I suspect they are not kept for more than a few months or their database would be overloaded.
Talked to some people that were not very happy about being fined for not reporting after a stay in hotel while I was there.
From now on I will make sure my wife does the hotel registration so I don't have to worry about a report. -
Here it is , simple just install Foxtel Go, VPN set to Sydney, log in with your Foxtel ID and yore good to go.

Mate same thread , just scroll down further.
-
Maybe you should scroll down further and read the latest post instead of quoting a year old one.
What's the big secret ??? why not just post the method here ? -
Did 2 in past month and both recorded as FTT.

There is 4mbps but only for 3 months @ 1284 baht
Thanks for the answers. I have a sim that was registered a year ago. Is there also such a plan for 4mbps? If so, what is the price and code?
My sim expires the 23rd, tomorrow. Can I do the new package today or do I need to wait for a specific day? Thanks in advance for all the help so far and for any answers to the last couple questions.

So yesterday I loaded up my Ais Sim with 1800 baht and can vouch that the 1mbps unlimited data for 12 months is still available for people with sim registered before Feb 2019 as reported by Jamjar.

If you have PR in Australia , you are allowed to live away from Australia for 3 of the 5 years with a Resident Return Visa.
As you acknowledge, her visa is not permanent...my wife lived/worked in Oz for 10+yrs, has moved back here permanently now, but used to get a 5yr visa renewal for a minimal fee...now 3-400AUD yearly with the re-apply hoops and bullshit to jump thru, and the rhetoric in oz re immigration now only likely to get harder.
One to remember for everyone bashing the system here...they ain't alone
