I would also agree with you that Thai women are very hygienic conscious.Makes no sense as carpet cleaning is a huge business in the West with all the filth and dirt picked up on shoes.
I definitely prefer the Thai way of taking shoes off. And these girls generally are cleaner as they shower more then western women. At least the ones I hang with.

When I did my extension a few days ago all I needed for proof of residence was my girlfriend's Tabien Bhan ( hers was blue not yellow) and she filled out a TM30.

Maybe the slim ones do not frequent KFC or Maccy and the ones that do..well there's the evidence.555You stand outside a KFC or Maccy D, then you will change your mind. Loads of fat, wobbly ones.

I just did my extension and multi re-entry 10 mins ago at Aranyaprathet with final Stat Dec from Oz Embassy , took just under 30 minutes from the time I handed all the paperwork and passport to the IO and back in my hands.Very impressed by service however the "No Tip" sign made me baulked from rewarding him.

For a rainy day I presume. Why spend unnecessarily if he is comfortable in his monthly expenditure ,always comforting to know you have reserved for any unexpected expenses. What are you saving it for?

Hmm I hope so, I will be on my 3rd extension in Feb even though I only spend 6 months of the year here in 2 X 3 Months duration , I take out travellers insurance in Oz , hopefully that will suffice. It is expected to become a pre-requisite for O-A visa in future. Not mentioned for extensions of stay.

So who's forcing you ,is that a prerequisite to get a visa ?If I'm forced to buy a Thai health insurance policy for 40k/400k THB coverage that I don't need, or if I'm force to purchase out-patient coverage in addition to the inpatient coverage I already have that is at least 20 times more than Thai the mandated Thai inpatient coverage (and I don't need that out-patient coverage as I can easily cover the expenses myself) - then I'll say, "Enough!" it will be time to leave.

The expat said , and totally agree with you, the Thai ladies are only clerks so why vent your anger at them, nothing they day will change the Embassy's decision.Who said "the embassy was wrong...." The embassy staff or the expat? I'm bit surprised by all the comments in many threads about that the embassies are wrong. Lot of staff at the embassy are clerks. They are not in position to verify anything. Don't have expertise or authority. The income method with affidavit was a nonesence from outset.

Yesterday at the Oz Embassy a person in front of me also had a long conversation with the notarizer and I could hear him saying that the Embassy was wrong in denying a Aussie citizen a basic right amongst other points.

Are you sure mate , I'm thinking if you show Oz Embassies the documents they will not take it on face value but would have to verify it from the originating source, which they aren't willing to do.I should have said after the embassy letter cut off date. But as you all know the Oz embassy will continue to certify documents that prove your income. As I was told by them about a month ago .

The way he carried on was obnoxious.Nothing obnoxious about it. The "thai ladies" will give you lip service and why would you settle for that.
Guess who pays their wages?

Just completed my final Stat Dec at Oz Embassy but not before witnessing 2 others venting their frustrations at the Thai ladies and one specifically being obnoxious in demanding to see an Australian consular instead of a Thai.

Can anybody please tell me what is needed for a Stat Dec , if I can recall correctly all I did last year was front up and sign the form.Today I did my booking and the email from Embassy tells me to front up with all necessary docs.
