    Yes and no!

Those passengers over 70 years of age may use the premium services, as can holders of BOI work permits. Thai fast track service (left hand side of the main immigration halls) do not use the priority pass card.

The poster stated that you can show BC ticket and go through premium lane (70+ and BOI can go through on any ticket) which is incorrect in respect of the premium lanes used by non Thai Airways BC/FC passengers.

If you are not given a Priority Pass you can still show your business class seat ticket and use the immigration priority lane. Usually there's less than a handful of people at immigration priority lane whereas normal immigration queue can be 20 to 45 minutes queue. So do you need to pay for VIP service? Not in my opinion.

Priority lane is a premium service that has to be paid for by the airlines and unless you have a "Fastrack Pass" you will rejected. If it was possible to just show BC ticket then their would not be any reason to issue a "Fastrack Pass".

The actual law forbids the import of these contraptions.  Doesn 't matter whether tax was paid anywhere else. This is NOT part of personal goods but a restricted item like cigarettes, alcohol etc etc.  How many brain cells do you own,  or are the ones you have,  borrowed?

Grow up and do your research before you start spouting off with your stupid comments and derogatory remarks. Maybe you can start with looking up the definition of "import"!!! Then you can follow this by showing me the actual law that states they cannot be used, although I seriously doubt you can do that.

    Read the police statement again:

How can you use an e-cigarette for personal use without being in possession of it??

Jeez, some people just can't get it, tax and duty is applied to goods imported in to Thailand, there is no tax due on personal items valued less than B10,000. As for your police website statement since when did the police make the laws in Thailand? This is again another case that smacks of the police not understanding the actual law or manipulating it to their own end. Can you provide a link to this so called police website?

So it was a miracle that suddenly made it appear in Thailand?

Years ago in UK I had two derringer pistols that my grand-dad had owned. If I had been caught using them I could have used your defence strategy.

Sorry officer, they're just for my own use.

Firstly there are no such things as miracles, and the only pertinent thing that appeared was the 2014 law that banned the importation of Ecigs and related paraphernalia for resale or distribution.

There has never been any law which prohibits the personal use of Ecigs. It is just misinterpretation and scaremongering by certain individuals on blog sites such as this.

And no you could not use an excuse for using your pistol in the UK as there is a law against such use

See one of my previous posts where I stated ' not yet'.

I could expand your reasoning to cover a multitude of illegal items.

Driving a top end car that has been illegaly imported and no tax paid is one. No law states I can't drive it but the law says it's illegal for me to have it.

again you're waffling..........of course it's bloody illegal if its been illegally imported. But I am not importing any Ecig. I am using it personally.

    import
    verb

    ɪmˈpɔːt,ˈɪmpɔːt/
    1. 1.
bring (goods or services) into a country from abroad for sale.
"supermarkets may no longer import cheap jeans from Bulgaria"
synonyms: buy from abroad, bring from abroad, bring in, buy in, ship in, source from abroad
"the UK imports 95 per cent of its charcoal"

    2.
    noun

    ˈɪmpɔːt/
    1. 1.
a commodity, article, or service brought in from abroad for sale.
      "cheap imports from eastern Europe"
synonyms: imported commodity, foreign commodity, non-domestic commodity
      "a tax levied on imports"

Owning an E cig is illegal because they officially cannot be imported. An E cig where it exist in Thailand will not have had tax levied on it so it is in fact an illegal item.

Doesn't matter if you have an official receipt from your own country showing it was tax paid there.

The reasons for banning import have done to death on TV etc etc.

If you feel it's ok for you to sit on a no-smoking beach and vape then go ahead, no-one on here is saying it's not up to you.

Just don't think that any of your arguements, ie, show me the law, will stand up against the non smokers around you or the Thai official who decides to slap a 2000 baht or worse fine on you.

now your just waffling..........we're not talking about importing or selling, we're talking about personal use. Show me one instance where someone has been fined for using an Ecig.

if E cigs are illegal then surely it doesnt matter if you are using one or carrying it in your pocket either way you're  breaking the law by having an illegal item in your possession? like carrying a knife in the uk, you dont have to be stabbing someone for it to be illegal.

that's the point...........where as the notion come from that the use of E cigs is illegal? All the info I can find infers that the sale of E cig paraphernalia is illegal in Thailand. There are probably in the 10's of 1000's of users of E cigs in Thailand (many of them tourists) if it were actually illegal to use them then we would be hearing stories on a daily basis of people being apprehended by the police. The fact is that we have never heard of anyone actually being prosecuted for using an E cig.

So you're 106 and your old english teacher told you not to believe what you read on TV?

    This gets complicated.

    PS

E cigs, parts and refills selling or using totally illegal in Thailand.

Some still use them, but, piss-off the wrong official one day and .....................

Show me the proof to your assertion that the use of E cigs is illegal in Thailand.

Yes, all foreign exchange is accounted for, and all brits departing and arriving are accounted for. So at 11:59 last night they knew, to the baht, how many pounds were exchanged and to the person how many brits are in Thailand. Its not hard to marry the 2 figures together.

You could even take out the long stay visa holders and large exchange amounts(condo purchase etc) and be left with some pretty accurate numbers.
