They way it is normally done; The government works will business leaders to remove regulations and red tape; and increase all Company’s Liquidity through Central Bank Monetary Policy. These Leaders are way outside their abilities.

The Politics of this country are no different that the Chinese Communist Party. Governors are not elected. Police Chiefs are not elected. As a matter of fact nobody appears to be a legitimate elected official in Thailand. I guess communism won after all in Thailand.

There seems to be 1.9 Trillion Baht in Play. The PM says he has no money to help the people. Amata wants it to invest in Thailands production capacity. Don't know who any of these Companies re going to sell to? The Thai Government wants to use the 1.9 Trillion to bail out the elites. It never ceases to amaze me that the Government of all countries care so little about their people.

Thailand has said it will not be seeking loans from the IMF for its new 500 Bill Baht COVID-19 stimulus plan. It says they will find the money elsewhere. Currently THailand has 220 Bill USD in Foreign Exchange Reserves

Give some credit to the Government Leadership. I the last couple of days they have made some progress:
1. Planning to inject another 500 Billion Baht ($15 Bill USD) into Covid-19 Relief. They are working out the details and stated they won't be borrowing it from the IMF.
2. They have extended unemployment Benefits for Thai workers at half pay for 180 days. Previously it was 90 Days. However, they must have a letter from the Employers stated the worker was let go because Covid-19.
3. In this Article: they are extending the 5,000 cash hand-outs to 9 Million out of the 18.8 Million Registrants. An increase over the 3 Million they earlier projected.
Essentially, they are claiming the remaining 9.8 Million registrants are covered under Social Security Unemployment and are not eligible for the cash hand-out.
The Government has shutdown nearly every Daily Wage Earners income through its closure of most service industries; Retail outlets, Restaurants, Bar Staff, Noodle Shops, Fruit Sellers, Coffee Sellers,...etc...etc...
Is is true that these 9.8 Million they are claiming are ineligible for cash hand-outs really workers covered under Social Security Unemployment Benefits?
Or, are these 9.8 Million being denied the cash handouts REALLY Daily Wage Earners working at retail outlets, Restaurants, Bar Staff, Noodle Shops, Taxi's Tuk-Tuk, Fruit Sellers, Coffee Sellers,...etc...etc. and the have no income; and really affected by the closing of business' in Thailand, and not covered under Social Security Unemployment Benefits?
I think I can casually say that I know a ratio of at least 100 daily Wage Earners who are not eligible for unemployment compared to every Worker who is eligible for unemployment.
What will happens if there really is 9.8 Million People not receiving Financial support; and unable to support Mom. Dad, Sister, Brother, Grandpa, Grandma?
You can fill in the blanks for the rest of it.

I think the keyword here is vigilant. I think we all are expecting the hospitals to treat all symptomatic patients as carriers.

14 Million signed up for the Cash Hand-outs of 5,000 baht for three months. That is a total of 210 Billion Baht alone. More than double the total amount of their "Emergency Fund".

I think he is correct. I would go even father and say that tourist will not be back for 18 months. We all know the ignorance of most countries; Thailand will always be viewed as Asia and the Epicenter of the virus and people planning their Holidays will opt to choose other destinations. Pattaya and several other tourist destinations in Thailand will be devastated; Thailand as a whole will have to re-think its Tourist Economy.

As soon as the Government takes responsibility and tells the Share Holders for the "L" part of their P&L, they might consider it.

I worked on the International Trade side of one of the largest Thai Beverage Exporters with P&L responsibility. As the Baht Strengthens against the $USD, profits have gotten worse and exports have shrunk. I can only guess those Thai Companies who have foreign currency loans are the only ones benefitting from the Thai Monetary Policy.
