  1. Best beach imo: Tien beach, 2nd place Monkey beach when it's high tide. But you can explore the whole of Koh Larn in 1 day with a motorbike if you wanted. It's a small island and easy to get around on a scooter. Also it's very quiet now because of no Chinese so even the main beach looks ok. ????

Accomodations, I have no idea, I only go for daytrips. ????

And yes, Use Bolt if you can. Easy and cheap for transportation.

    Have fun!

Singapore has just doubled its number of cases in one day, I think the Minister of BS may be a tad optimistic here considering the way that Omicron is spreading.

Cases are not an important number anymore with Omicron. Who cares if there are millions of cases when almost nobody needs hospitals/ICU's. Most people survive the flu or the common cold also. Better to get Omicron and get a free natural booster for your immune system!

Did you read this bit from the OP, second post....

"I'm actually now on a 60 day Covid extension..."

And in what way does that make my suggestion invalid to talk to a good agent if he encounters any problems? His Non-O, assumably volunteer, is expired. Maybe you should focus on giving information that can help the OP?

  4. Issue is that there are rumors immigration will not give you an extension if you have paid for a 'dodgy' volunteer visa/extension in your passport. At the moment those 'dodgy' visa's/extensions are not available anymore since the recent change of some head immigration officer in Isaan. What I also heard is that you need a passport change before you can get a new visa/extensions. But as said, this is only from hear saying. To the OP: talk to a good agent if you encounter any troubles or if you are not sure how to proceed and post the outcome. ????

Like I said, I have nothing negative to say, the police are doing a great job, keep up the good work. I love living here, no complaints.

Read the article and my comments before making annoying replies.

The police are doing a great job? I hope you understand that those Covid rules are just plain stupid... Anyway, I'm going out before everything needs to close for some cold virus at 9PM. ????

You just trying to wind me up with this rediculous comment?

I've been living here (same place) for 20 years, long before the <deleted> moved in.

Well the thing is... TiT. I would probably never buy something in or near Pattaya or stay at a place where I can't move out reasonably fast because of things like that.

    I'm OK with the policing.

If you don't like the laws you are free to leave.

My house is not far from Bongkot.

Some of these bars are often open to the early mornings. Drunken idiots making noise, driving their vehicles drunk, at times you get the very load big bike going at speed through these narrow streets. Lots of people sleeping.

Yes these laws are affecting the pimps/bar owners, too bloody bad.

I like to live in a safe place with my family.

Are you the same guy who decided to live near an airport and went on complaining about airplane noise?

You wear the mask to protect others!
And even when you had it, this not mean you can't become it again.

And so far I understood, for many omicron is really only like a cold, but for some it's much more. only because you had no problem not mean everybody is the same.

Protect others from something I don't have anymore? Chances getting it again are pretty slim maybe even zero. Imo probably everyone in Pattaya had it or was in contact with it.

For some others flu is deadly or the common cold or traffic or hearth problems or high blood pressure or gazillion other things people die from. Heck, people die even from old age! Time to get things back in perspective.

The UK is so far ahead of Thailand in numbers of vaccinations that it is out of sight.

Same happened in India and that country is probably the opposite of the UK. In fact it's very simple. These kind of virii propagate until there's an equilibrium of infected and non infected. That's when it starts to drop fast. Lockdowns or stupid measures they only prolong the economic hardship until the equilibrium has been reached.

For more information study some statistics and graphs. It's all pretty clear.

yes your correct and the alternative is  sick, death, for family friends      this is not a rock and a hard place, this is easy to choose

I agree, open up would be the best choice. People get sick and/or die all the time. If it isn't from/with Covid, it is from traffic, cancer, hearth strokes, high blood pressure, etc...

Easy talking when you are on welfare. Not so easy talking when you need money to survive.
