I would say the same caution to eating all forms of raw sea-water fishes even salmon. Singapore had an outbreak of Stretococcus infection last year with 2 fatalities.

Mr PumpJack: You need to calm down. Try some deep breathing exercises. This is a discussion forum, just because another member is not in-line with your reactionary statement ...

Yes, I would say the population has doubled over the last couple of years. If you feed a starving person in Africa, you would also provide education, birth control etc. They would probably make there own decision not to have a baby etc. And at some point the goal would be to have them grow there own food. I dont think any aid organisation goes there with the view of feeding the population until it doubles, then doubles again etc. I like animals and I dont know what the solution is, but I cant see the point of feeding so the population keeps growing at an exponential rate.
It's a dilemma that a lot of farangs consider dogs and other animals in the same category as humans !

Thais do have natural beauty for sure but I also like the unnatural aspects money can add to it, good clothes, make up, hair, nails, and a general look that is enhanced by money, cheap trashy market clothes and flip flops are just not my bag. Probably why I find the Japanese, Koreans and a couple other countries women more attractive overall.
... I noticed, over the past 10 years that these Thai girls are getting a little plump !

Could that be why it stopped at 1st not ground floor?
Now all we need is the "fortune teller" to say what happened.
Ground floor, Floor 1, Floor 0, Lobby; anybody's guess!

BBC news has been censored for years! By the BBC itself! If you believe they broadcast the truth, you're living in cloud cuckoo land. Only politically correct sh.. comes out of the BBC these days so that they don't offend the 'new natives' and the corporate giants of this world. CNN, NBC, you name them, all the same.
You are almost correct, but try this one: The BBC has been censors from its inception!

For sure , ground floor if possible negates the balcony and lift hazards . I have been known to sleepwalk on rare occasions and for this reason I lock the balcony door and place furniture in front of it . Thought about tying string to my leg to put me out of range of the door but then realised I would not be able to make it to the toilet . Leo has a lot to answer for .
Apparently, James Bond prefers the 3rd Floor of any hotel ...

I do not agree that Google Auto Translate is particularly useful, if at all. When I have tried to use it in the past, I have needed to employ a translator to unravel all the gobbledy gook.
Similar to a Swede visiting IKEA and asking for a translation of the signs & labels !

Not needed anymore anyway. With the Thais fully conversant with social media, VPNs, Google auto translate etc etc they can get the truth anyway.
It is highly unlikely that the station is truly used for what is publicised. Anyways, BBC and truth in the same sentence !!!???

What is the hotel name ? Nobody has balls on this forum ?
The following extract was quoted in the TV report: They were taken to hospital where one was in a serious condition. The accident happened on Monday evening when 128 local officials from all over Thailand were staying in the central Pattaya hotel. Maybe a clue ( or maybe not ) ?!?

Public safety standards here are abysmal. Same with traffic safety. It is almost as if the government is saying unless you are wealthy, connected, or in power, you do not have the right to be safe in your own land.
If you think Thailand is bad, try Nigeria; a Gazillion times worse ...

May I give you one bit of advice mate.....whichever lawyer you choose to represent you just make sure you have got a "good" interpreter that you can trust, because it is so important for you to understand what is going on and to be able to get across your thoughts and feelings, to both your lawyer and the court.

During my on & off stays in Thailand over the past ten years, I have attended two Thai weddings, one Thai-Thai ( SinSot 20,000 ) and one Thai-Australian ( SinSot 150,000 ). On both occasions, this money was returned to the parents/groom/bride/married couple. The cash that was collected from the guests at the ceremony was used to contribute to the wedding party. SinSot has a lot to do with face and bravado but also recirculation of money. Anyways, the value of SinSot is negotiable; face-to-face, between families, along with how it is dispersed, well in advance of the wedding. In my experience, the issue of SinSot is not as sinister as many westerners perceive
