  1. I had the same experience with headphones. The PDF and searching the forum said 60% but they actually charged 10% on all the packages I got so far.

I actually found a couple of PDFs not even sure wich is the correct one.

If the amp would be 10% I would do it if 60% I wouldn't. I just don't know where to get the actual correct percentage.

The tax concession applies to SET (Thai market) listed shares not to non Thai shares unless those shares are held offshore from Thailand: some Thai brokers offer offshore share trading accounts for foreign shares, commissions are higher though

Oh - so opening a local (Thai) broker account isn't any beneficial then since it get taxed on the source? I wonder how it is with ETFs like MSCI World where the shares are all over the countries.

    (2) Why would you want the account to be in Thailand? Wouldn't you be better off using a brokerage account in Germany? Just transfer money periodically (e.g. annually) to save on transaction costs.

Thanks for your answer. I heard that taxes here in Thailand are much lower. Actually I found that capital gains on shares are non taxed and dividends just with 10%. (https://www.set.or.th/en/regulations/tax/tax_p1.html). In Germany its 25%.

  4. Im (German citizen) currently working in Thailand and want to open a local share portfolio. I plan to trade international shares as well as international ETF like MSCI World etc. mainly for long term savings.

    • Is it possible to trade those kind of things with a normal trading account on one of the big banks like Bangkok Bank, SCB etc?
    • How much is the tax for the capital gains & dividends
    • Do I need to put my earnings in the tax return and what happens when I stop working here. (In Germany they get automatically cut by the bank.)
    • Anything i missed?

Thanks you in advanced for your help.

  5. I dont mind to drive a bit outside Bangkok. The honey in the supermarkets are mostly preserved by high temperature. Im looking for raw honey. Sometimes I see vendors on the outskirts of Bangkok for example on the way upcountry who sell honey in old hong tong bottles, but from the taste and structure I have the feeling they mix it with water or sugar.

  6. My one said 36 psi in the door all around, but I go a bit over by 2psi. I think I read it somewhere years ago and do it like that since then, no issue so far.

What I recommend is when other people doing it for you always double check. I had situations after a tire change the pressure where all over the place on the 4 tires. ????

I had good experiences with these shops.

    Automag Wheel (Located around Samutprakarn)

CG0400 (They have a few stores around bangkok)

Cockpit Boonya Auto (Located on petchburi)

Hello thanks for all the suggestions. I been to CG0400. It seems like the engineer knew what he was doing. Never less the steering wheel was still a bit of after the alignment was done. Not by far though.

That brings back the main question. He acknowledged it was off and adjusted it manually again without lasering it. So now my steering wheel is centered but the wheels are most likely not aligned anymore.

I really wonder how this is possible and if I'm missing something major here. In the alignment process the steering should be centered and it should be perfect after the alignment is done.

  8. Hey I got my tires changed/balanced/aligned. But now the steering wheel is not centered when driving straight. I went back to the shop and they screw something on the tires again (without putting it on the alignment rig). Now it's better but still off.

It doesn't feel right especially with the manual free hand adjustment afterwards. What's the purpose of laser align everything and then later change it by best guess.

Anybody can recommend a good shop just for tire alignment?

Is it a big problem giving a pin?

Well it's inconvenient. At gas stations I need leave the car and squese me in the small booth to type in the pin. At homepro I need walk behind the counter for a refund and to type in my pin. All those small things,  I just feel the stores are not ready. From other countries im used that this device's are wireless. Here there are tight on the cashier counter and it feels not meant to be used by customer.
