My goodness, what a poisened chalice of a job!
Right, here goes the pitch:
So Mr CEO, you are concerned that investing in Thailand would be risky?
Well, I can reassure you that everything is fine, nothing to worry about, apart from being under military dictatorship, imminent threats of another Coup d'etat, death threats against former leaders, ruinous currency control measures and uncompetitive rate, crashing share prices, violence in the South, a bombing campaign in the capital within the last 6-months, downward growth YOY and prejections, disarray over whether you can actually own your investment if you are a foreigner...
CEO - what about the rumour that the capital (and new airport) will be under water in 10-years
So, everything in order eh?
-
She suggests that the government should enforce the Official Information Act more seriously as it can suppress corruption in bureaucracy.
Bless 'em - ya gotta laugh eh?

Combined investment in the projects amounts to US$1-2 billion.
Petty cash!

Samui Express -
One of the Islands major issues. Couldn't you arrange an interview with the local police chief and get his perspective?
-
S E Roo is absolutely right in her last mail..............
Hey Rooo - you told the wife about this?
-
Does anyone know about a website offering jobs in Koh Samui. www.kohsamuijobs.com has very little to offer and mostly outdated.
Thanks. Rainer
You need to be more specific - what sort of work are you looking for?
Maybe then "we" (the forum) can be of more help
-
Looking at other forums I notice a lot have "pinned" images of their area. I believe this section would be useful for anybody seeking info about the Island
What are your thoughts?
Maybe we could all add our favourite shots?
Perhaps a moderator could consider pinning?
Anyway, here's my 50 cents worth to kick it off.
1)Chaweng Cove 2) Bangrak 3) Wat Pla Leam -
before you aply , make sure you know how to spell Samui
Pardon!

SamuiExpress,
go ahead and do your job - interview the hospital and the police, then let us know the real facts.
Everytime you post here it is just about getting a story for free to sell it to your newspaper.
Correct, and on top of that mostly incorrect.
e.g. From a recent article:- http://www.samuiexpress.net/?q=node/632
"During the event there will be flower-arrangement, cooking, fruit-craving and ..........

it's a good bike for Samui, and well capable of off road trips.
She ain't gonna get too far around Samui on a "stationary" bike!

My very first initial gut feeling that took all of five seconds to come up with is he is coming here to give a kick to his bank vault door that has appeared to have gotten stuck on the closed position. As far as I know he was due in court next week anyways unless I am mistaken.
I think he's coming back to sort out his finances - somebody's just knicked 3.5 million from a security van!

Any specific area in mind?
Hello TV,
Not really. Maybe nearer the north shore. I'm not a big fan of traffic after having lived the past 3 years in the sticks. And I have a car.
I would like to be able to walk to the beach, but having lived at the absolute edge of a beach for the past year has satisfied some visceral craving, I suppose.
Much of the time I will be working on my computer and collecting info for an existing website.
Try Choeng Mon - there's a small resort about 100 metres past the Boat House going towards the airport. I enquired there about a month ago and she indicated 12k per month. Clean and quiet. Not sure about ADSL tho. I didn't take it as something in Chaweng Noi came up.
Good luck in your search.

SBK - I wouldn't bother with the stuff they have at Tesco's. Really poorly made and won't last. You'll get fitter/slimmer repairing it!
Why not ask one of the local keep fit gyms to get one for you?
Alternatively, it's the same old story of BKK.

Hi there,
Sorry, a few questions from me lately but everyone here's just so ###### helpful and knowledgeable
currently we're renting a Suzuki jeep (the small ones with canopy on back) for 600 baht a day, but will be requiring it or something very similar for a month and a half. Before I speak to the dude we're renting it from, what sort of price should I expect to pay for 48 days? Alternatively, does anyone here know of a place to get a small jeep cheap for that timeframe?
Cheers
12k-15k per month - low, low season

I'm not a diver so I might be talking out of my backside, but it occurs to me that the diving schools/divers could assist here by clearing away some of the nets. Reasonable thought?

Thanks very much for the help everyone, got a happy sim from zoom and its all good.
Next up renting a house. Anyone got any info on something with 2 bedrooms around bophut/maenam? Have 2 kids so needs to be secure and with communal pool, internet, aircon and 2 bedrooms....
Just been down this route - can recommend Green Life Apartments on Yupa Land in Bhoput
Cool. Got a URL or physical address?

Best message I get is from a girl named Jam who works in a message place across from Punpreeda Hotel in Bang Rak, next to Jades. She is exceptional and beautiful to boot. I get her to come to my house and give me messages on my own bed. It's fantastic!
She sounds good....reckon ill give her a try....what are her prices paul?
300/hour well worth it. Maybe her beauty just made the message seem better but regardless......
Hey Paul, let me have your mobile number and I'll gladly send you a few "messages" @ 300 baht/hour. You'll have to look elsewhere though for a massage!
