Yup, same total resistance in circuit.

What's the load and the desired effect?

It may be better to use X rated capacitors to reduce the power dissipation.

It is actually part of a larger circuit that I am trying to fit on a circuit board and the top schematic works much nicer.  Thanks so much for the help.

Do your wife have a source for this? Where did she get that bit of information?

A neighbor had a name change that was going to cost 2000 baht last month for zero deposit this month.  She was told there was not a meter deposit for this year now.  Check with PEA to make sure this is truly the case as misunderstandings are very common for me.

  3. It would be a good time to change your meter or name on account if that applies as they are giving refunds for past deposits and not charging any for the near future changes according to my wife.  When I had our 15/45 meter installed a couple of years ago they charged 2000 baht and an inspection of the wiring by PEA was required.  The actual inspector never looked past the meter however.  So if I have been told correctly you would only pay for the  cost to replace the wire between your meter and CU at this time.

  4. I bought one global and one Chinese version in the last year and on my two the only thing I have noticed so far is the owners manual language, the display language on the display telling you how much filter % is left, and the power cords.  And when setting the Chinese version up to work with an app I understand there are some settings with the server that need to be changed but I don’t use it so can’t tell you for sure.

  5. I have not filed taxes since 2017 due to not meeting the threshold required and only collecting a company pension, no social security yet.  This morning I got on line and E-filed a 2019 tax return for zero tax refund/payment, included a US mailing address plus direct deposit information to my US bank.  It took about an hour to complete and might be an easy answer to receive it.  Time will tell.

  6. I understand what you are saying. I will do it the same again this year which is identical to what you were saying. As long as signature and their rectangular IO stamp does not fall on the writing of the Thai PP stamp then should be good to go. There is enough room. thank you.

I had to resign a few pages at CM this year because I pre signed too large and it exceeded the stamp size. She didn’t seem to care as to where the signature was.
  7. My Thai wife and myself went to renew our car drivers license today. She renewed 5 year to 5 year and I renewed a 2 year to a 5 year. Here is some information that I had trouble finding before I went that might help others. You can renew both types up to 90 days prior to expiration. I was required to have the medical certificate but they gave hers back and said not required now. The large sign at the top of the stairs states otherwise so this must be a recent change. I only had to take the color test and received my new license in a couple of hours. She had to do the reaction time test, color test, and watch an approximate one hour video. It took her 4 hours to receive her license. We got there at 8am. The documents that the DLT website say are required are correct with the exception of the actual registration form that is not required as they will provide a filled in form for you that you only need to sign. All and all it was quite painless and I would recommend bringing exact change as when I paid the 505 baht fee they seemed a little disturbed when I did not have the 5 baht change.

  8. We came in during a holiday and with the weekend added did mine about 5 days after arrival. The lady at immigration questioned my wife and asked to see the airline ticket as proof of our landing time but we did not bring it. She finally smiled and said no problem and stamped the form. This was at CM last year.
