  1. I meet all the financial requirements, my paperwork is all up to date.

Until the bridge to Laos is open I have no other choice but continue going to Yasothon.

I have lived here for 20 years, got the yellow house registration book but have never had problems like this.

  2. Yes I am married to a Thai the point is 25,000 is a blatant rip off.

Who do I report these officers to. I know the actual costs.

The normal finances are not a problem.

My next trip is due in May.

Call it an extension, report or anything you want, readers know what I mean.

  3. Because of the covid situation I’m no longer able to travel to Savannakhet.

I now go to Yasothon Immigration. I do or did have a multi entry extension.

On my last visit I was advised to get a Retirement Visa, only trouble is they want 25:000.00baht? You got to be kidding.

As this is a blatant rip off, who do I complain to?

Normal 60 day report would for me has been 2,000.00baht.

    Thanks

Hey, google reader, what border did she cross to get them?

Beer is still readily available for many within Thailand, despite being barred, but our OP was about getting it in Savannaket (sic).

She didn’t cross any borders came from our local town.

    Are you a troll?

90 day reporting has nothing to do with a visa extension.

No I’m not a troll and with my multi entry O visa/extension a ninety day trip is required, but, as others have said it’s not possible under current conditions. For the other prat that replied I don’t live under a rock but in a rather nice house.

No problem enjoying a cold beer, I do as well, personally I'd have no problem with however much beer you want to bring back, my advise was genuine and 100% correct.

Looks like I won’t need to bother now as I said earlier just got 24 cans.

Of course none of this would arise if the on line immigration 90 day reporting system worked.

I hope they will arrest you at the border.

Are you so addicted to alc that it's all what is in your mind?

Where to get the next booze? ????

No I’m not addicted to alcohol just like a cold one while watching television. It was just a question and didn’t deserve a constant barrage of verbal abuse.

Supposing the border is open, have you investigated if Laos are allowing people in, do you have the COVID free certificate (valid for only 72 hours), the required 100,000 USD COVID insurance and a Thai work permit?

The restrictions on movement, especially foreigners, applies to the land borders as well as the airports.

Why the hell would I need any of that. I’m just crossing the border not actually going anywhere, just crossing the bridge and coming straight back to get another 90 day stamp. Work permit? What planet are you on.

Have you missed the nationwide info about the closed borders to every neighbouring country?

I watch the television and read google. Not seen anything about all borders being closed.

What I did see yesterday was that certain provinces were lifting the ban on alcohol on certain dates. Yasothon, Roiet and others were today 17th, we will see.
