You will pay 20k at a local hospital or 40k at Bumrungrad- BKK hospital. You can get cheaper like I did but I would go to Bumrungrad and get knocked out. They burnt mine and the smell of my tubes burning wasn’t great. The Doc said he was sending the tubes cut off to the laboratory. I asked “oh to check for cancer” . He replied, no, to check I cut the right ones. True story!

You are generous. I avoid tourists and only talk to people that I am introduced to by friends. Often met at golf or at a persons house for bbq etc.

I think the locals realised they have more money than most broke ass farangs. Money is object number one in Pattaya. Not many are working in Pattaya for love of the job.

I’m still waiting for the road to be finished from BKK…I am 52 and will probably never see it complete in my lifetime. HH better improve their taxi / grab situation as getting a car there is next to impossible.

Golf Mon / Wed / Fri mornings nearly single figures which is my aim. Walk my dogs every day. Try and ride 100km each week. Get 2 massages and sneak in a beer each night. After food shopping and organising things around the house I am done!

I suggest hotels concentrate on training staff better as the service in many hotels has slipped and esp on front desks when busy. Obviously there are a lot of stresses out people that I see on both sides of checkin / checkouts. Once that is all sorted along with food and beverage I would happily pay and extra $8. As usual, the good places prices correctly will be booked out and the remaining will struggle until we return to normal. i much prefer to stay at independent hotels than the cookie cut chain groups, but that’s just me….so Bill probably won’t get any of my business.

Not to my knowledge. You can obviously deposit usd into your thb acct with the banks nominated exchange rate but there are no platforms available similar to hsbc etc.

300 thb is here nor there, but it’s not a good look for incoming visitors unless they can guarantee what it’s for. i would increase it to 500thb for every two weeks stayed and put it towards a health insurance fund, then everyone is a winner. What they should do is ensure the funds are correctly spent which will never happen in this country. They just can’t help themselves.

Yes, Pattaya attracts possibly the worlds worst tourists. Nothing good comes out of Pattaya. Don’t go there.
