So I see that They are keeping Ganga Legal for "the" (Woops, almost said WE) smokers !!! ... and thanks !!! .... Nice the first government in the world to just show some common sense on this issue !!! .... But well they are now seriously talking about ??? Prosecuting any one selling it, who does not have a 20 K (Or was it 30 ?) Bart License !!! Ho Hum ... So where are we going to get what is now legal ??? ... if few People will be legally allowed to sell it ??? Oh Yessss, from the Government sellers ? right !!! ... Like I NEALY DID DIE also !!! … On Kata Beach, no flags, and do not swim signs but well hey I am a good swimmer !!! Until I DID get caught in a rip, and was going out to sea, faster than I could try to swim back, … and being pounded down to the bottom, by Breaking waves about every 10 seconds !!! … I then could understand how these people DO die here in Thailand, and well in other Rip and heavy surf parts of the world !!! Like it is when the Waves get so close together, that you do not actually have time to swim much any way !!! … and then when they start breaking out in the deep water !!! … Well if you are just an average swimmer, and get caught in one of these rips, ... well then your Good days, very well could be over. … Like found on the bottom in about the same place a few days later !!! … Like you MUST know when it is getting like this ! … and my advice is get out of the water ASAP if it is as you might NOT get a second chance. … My sad experience was on Koh Chang where a group of young Thai men turned up, and just got out of their car and ran out in to the storm sea !!! … Like Varrrr, … and only 4 out of 6 came back I think ??? … So 3 days with the Boys parents, just waiting, … until their bodies came back up in about 3 days I think, almost in the same spot, that they had gone in to it !!! I was luck on kata beach, and it was only a minor rip ...and it stopped and I got back in to touch !!! … There were other bigger ones out there, for sure !!! and if I had not been Lucky, I did choose the Non draining liking spit, …. But it was not a minor one that DID come there a bit further out !!! But if it had been a bigger one, … eve by just a tad !!! …. I would have been Dead I think, … Drowned !!! …. and that would have been a very big surprise !!! Like no sign of rescue ... there were REALLY Big and obvious do not swim signs !!! … So it would all just have been my own fault any way, and cry for any one that tried to help me and got in to trouble as well !!! … Any way I have missed you Colum for this week end Rooster ? … Maybe I am searching wrong ??? … Have a good one ... How about those men working 12hr shifts on that huge reverce Auger (?) Drill in Chillie, ... slowly geting the huge and almost certainly hard to control ??? bit ... slowly down to 1000 meters below the sutface, ... To make the hole that saved those men's lives !!! ... Like forget to oil the spindle ? ... Or change the oil in the head ? ... or hyaulucs pumps, or motors, run them too hard and cease them ??? ...or the huge compressors !!!! ... ... ... And the rotatipn stopped ... or the cuttongs were not getting blown out ? ... and it got jamed at 700m ,! ... ... Days into the opperation ... Hence requiring a new bit ! Very expensive and probably hard to get ! Drill ... And re starting the hole ! ... or wedging off much higher up !!! ... ... While the men down below slowly died ,... Actually I think that the Easiest way of getting them out, would have been to drill a hole in from the surface above ! ... And then use an escape capsule on a wire lift, like they did to rescue all those Gold miners from 1 km under ground in Chillie ? Wasn't it ??? ... (Like as an ex caver my self ! )... I think findong them was the easy part ? ...Getting them out was the hard part ??? ... But the logistics, geography ? and rock structure ??? Possibly ? ... as well as not having a suitable large reverse auger drilling rig available at short notice ??? ... Probably made this rescue drill hole not possible !!! . So they had to do it the hard way !!! ...Under water and a very long and very Wild flooded stream passage cave system. ... Like they had to lift them up a section on a flying Fox didn't they !!! So Bravo ! And good on them ALL ...and a true Tribute to what Humanity Can Do !!! (When they want to ...and no often old and entrenched Vested Interests, stand in their way) ...

Yes and they could also read their Book, about ... as a Passover record from the guys who finally !!! ... After just gynormys leadership and Help from every one involved !!! ... But also at considerable physical and Personal risk to them selves and their reputations ... Got them out. ... ( I used to be a Wet and Dry Expedition Caver for many years my sef, so I was interested. ... Carried the Divers gear in to Cockalbidy cave on the Nullabore ! Some time before the big push that made it the longest under water cave in the World ??? ... And did 27 hr pushes way out past the 1 km mark in Mulamalang to extend its known passages in to Ix land ... No that was what I called the little bit I found on a lower level ... it was "The Vast Inponderabked" discovered by another Cave and cave Diving legend ! Ian Lewis from South Australia. ...Etc. Etc. ..... Etc. (Sorry to go on.) ... My body can not do it now !!! ... And I also would now probably be scared as well. ??? Well for the first 5 minets any way !??? Before the usual ..."Caving" ... Adrenaline kicked in ? ! ...

Actually I think that the Thai's pumping a lot of the water out of the cave ! ... Working against the mo soon ? Rain, ... also probably did help a lot also ! ... As it would have given the Divers a lot more air spaces to work in, on their marathon journey out with the Anethesized Boys !!! God bless them ALL !!! ... And just so close behind us from this pretty terrible tome I thinking. ? ...

Yes, ... I think that the International Rescue, and possibly the men just given the Horary Degrees, had actually invited Richard and Craig, to go to Chang Rai ASAP. ? … And then they had both considered it, at very short notice, … And Did go. ... Asap. …. … I guess that they all had decided that to Anesthetize the Boys, and then emergency stretcher them all out, on by one, off and on, over some days, out, … and for hours at a time, Under water, in a very Treacherous, flooded Stream passage, Cave system was the only way. ... … So well the Two ! Specialties ? Required ... Years of Experience, and excellence, in expedition status Cave Diving, … (Personal Motivation being at the Fore just to be in this group I think, and I am an experianced Expedition wet and Dry caver, who has worked with them myself) … AND also full on Aesthesis knowledge, some different sort of work ? … and the full Practical experience of Using it !!! would be needed. ... … So well Richard Harris , and Craig Challen, were the Obvious choices ! By the looks of it. …. And were asked to go there, and consider trying the idea. ... And they did. … Like I think Richard has also practiced Cave Diving rescues with the Australian Police authorities already ? … But I only read the first 2 Chapters of their book. … But Cave diving Deaths went from something like 7 in the first year that the sport became popular there, … down to about zero in the last 20 Years I think, … After the Police, and The People like Craig and Richard, started to take notice of that great danger. … Anyway, when Richard and Craig arrived, they did say yes they would try it ... but they also admit in their book, that they privately thought that they would only have 50% change of a positive out come !!! …. and THEY were the Only men Really with that sort of Experience to say that really I think. But what else to do ??? Nothing. … So, they first Trained the boys on breathing through Skubar, and under Water … Told them what was going to happen, …. And then Injected the boys, … and then they swam with them, pushing them along in their streatchers, … and topped them up with the Anesthetic at times, as they went, at regular times, and in the regular Air Pockets ??? … I think it was Richard, but as I say it is a while since I read his account, …. but one of them had thought that they had lost the line, ... (Like no visibility !) and in one of the hardest sections, with one of the last boys, … Like probably quite near where the Thai Navy Seal Died, ... So he turned back, and re did the Anesthetic in the last air space !!! …. But then he discovered that he still had the Line, and it had just slipped down to his elbow !!!! ... He had lost Time !!! … But they got that boy out also … and again, only a bit slower this time !!! … Like if they had lost that Boy, then it would, have been a total Disaster !!! …. and the whole operation jeopardized !!! .... But they didn't ... Experience ? …. or just plain good Luck. ??? And yes ALL the people were Important, !!! … And nationality has nothing to do with it .... Like Richard and Craig would be the first ones to tell you all that !!! (If you could find them now ???) ... But they were the Anesthetists … and Great and experienced Cave Divers, ... who DID get those boys out. !!! …. (So maybe the Bristol University could give then an Horary Doctorate as well ???)... If they could find them now I guess ??? Like these two guys took their new fond fame VERY WELL !!! and WERE both just very VERY Humble … and well the Wild Boar soccer team who were rescued did pretty well in that way also I think !!! ... Well they could have put their Names in !!! And nit just cslled them "Anethercists" ... particularly as they were probably Arguably the main part of the Recovery part of the Rescue. ..And probably it's main reason for success. .... Still they were Both Australians if the year a couple of years ago now any way.

What a Terrific Job done by All actually I think ! … And even the Thai boots on the Ground operations people also !!! …. And well a Tribute to Humanity ! I think. ... Like what WE can do !!! When we want to !!! ( and are given the opportunity to. ) Like These fellows were there first I think, …. And they Found them !!! and Bravo, for that !!! .... But also the two Australian, Anesthetists Cave divers, that arrived later I think ? …. that actually got the Boys out, and with the dangers and difficult as described here. Dr’s. I think ( Vetenarians ? One of them at least was one ??? but both professors now I think ?) Richard Harris and Craig Challen, Should have been mentioned in this article also. Like they were the ones who actual Medicated the Boys, before their extraction, and were with them while they were Knocked out and being dragged out, ... Under Water. ..like also such a Great Responsibility. I think that there has been quite a good book written about them, and well they admit that they initially thought that there was only 50/50 chance of the operation actually working ? (And they were very VERY Experienced Cave Divers AND Anesthetists !!!) ... Like they had Indemnity from the Thai government also I think, but also KNEW !!! That they very well might need it.!!! ( And suffer other allegations, if the operation was NOT successful. ) …. Like they were very good Cave Divers also as well as very well trained Anesthetists. … But, ALSO very Brave men !!! … ...
