  1. Yes. As usual all the information is contradictory. I went to the other checkpoint. I was pointed to the "big" immigration boss in the check point. He told me:
    * Both Thai nationals and Non-Thai need to register (the oposite as the other checkpoint)

    * No way the airport opens before May 16th, ( the oposite as the other checkpoint)

    * We can register any time online. Pointed us the Facebook account but the facebook account says they do not have the registration app/link/website whatever is ready yet.

  2. So, I just talked with the police officers. They say...

    * The airport might not be closed. I told them it's everywhere that'll be closed till 16th. They say not sure about this, maybe this will u-turn

    * They say foreigners no need to register anywhere to go out of the province. That only applies to Thai.

    * They say cannot register any more, deadline expired yesterday.

  3. We are 2 people and have scouted a private taxi driver to go from Phuket to Bangkok. We would like to go beginning of next week.

Assuming the roads will be open, we have the permissions etc.

We have the option to board a taxi (in that case we would need only one more person) or a van (we would need 7 more people) to make it cost-effective.

If interested, write me a private message.

Firstly, which area are you in?   You need to go to the area Tessabaan to register (and you really need to take a Thai speaker with you).   Have your personal documents with you.

Yes, you can leave by road from tomorrow.   Again more information should be available at the Tessabaan.

No, buses are not operating, so would have to be private car or taxi.   Do you have a car here?   I am guessing not.   The only option that I can think of is to get a 'one way' car hire from a national car hire place such as Hertz.   Check with them what documentation you need i.e. licence type etc.   I don't think you would find a taxi  willing to take you to Bangkok.   I believe that Surat Thani airport will open tomorrow so that could be an option for a taxi to there, obviously you need to check.

Hold on, but the comments above said we need to register tomorrow from 5:00 AM. But tomorrow the Thesaban is supposed to be closed all day. And normal days they do not open at 5:00 AM.

Firstly, are you aware that the airport closure has been extended from 30th April to 15th May?

The registration being spoken about is for migrant Thais who wish to return to their home province.

I just learnt it today. Man info goes really fast... They brought it up just this morning, just one day before they were supposed to open ?!?!?!

A Thai friend of mine just talked to the Tessabaan so secondhand info but as i understand it.

Foreigners can also register to drive or transport to Bangkok then fly from there .( Starting 5am tomorrow)

I suggest you go to the office and they will confirm as said Phuket Airport is closed until 15th earliest

Question: Where and how can we register? Does anyone know? Foreigner here.

Question 2: Does it then mean we can go out from May 2 by road, or it means we are registered but no clue when we go out?

Question 3: "Transport to Bangkok" means private and/or taxi? I do not find buses operating.

  6. Sorry to interrupt your conversation.

I just saw you wrote people have "registered" to "leave Phuket". What does it means, exactly? i.e. I was not aware I need to pre-register to leave the province. I would be glad if someone can share a link with instructions on where or how I need to "register" to leave Phuket. As I talked multiple times with the police officers this week and they told me no need to do "anything". i.e. when the airport would be open if I have a flight I can fly. Never mentioned I need to preregister anywhere. Glad to know if you have a link where the info for that registration. And... does it apply both to foreigners and Thai or only foreigners or only Thai?

  7. I also find odd, January, February... Chinese were admitted like there is no issue at all. But ok... I guess none wanted to damage tourism too much. Anyway... what's gonna happen with the lockdown in Phuket on May 1st? anyone knows?!

  8. @Agust Yes, from Phuket airport. Flights available at least with NokAir you can book and the seats are going quite fast (maybe not many available?). So yes it is booked.

So as per instructions of the police officer yesterday this morning I headed to the Amphoe office. In the first checkpoint, the same where yesterday they told me I need an authorization from the Amphoe, they told me I do not need anything else but my flight confirmation. They said it is enough. But in the very same spot yesterday they told me I need an authorization from the Amphoe.

Now I am pretty confused. If I go tomorrow they'll tell me another version.

  9. Hello guys,

Today I asked the police officer in Chalong road ring if after May 1 I need any document to go through the check point. He said yes, I need to request the document in the Amphoe (i.e. Mueang Phuket Amphoe). So, in order to go there, I need to pass at least two checkpoints. Do you know if they let people through if they go to ask the document to let them go through?

The other question is, will they ask me for a medical checkup or something?

I have confirmed flights on May 3rd, but to go to the airport I guess officially I need to go through the checkpoints. The taxi driver says he knows some paths he can drive me without checkpoints but obviously better if I have the document from the Amphoe.

  10. One important point here: They guys claimed they left their car keys and mobile phones in the safe of the jet ski rental company. So basically, they cannot leave, they cannot call anyone (taxi, police, friends to pick-up) unless the shop managers gives them their belongings but they won't do till they pay. And I think that part is a bit unfair, independently of whether the jet ski was truly damaged or not.

  11. Following the info in the forum I went today to Chalong Pier to the immigration-mobile station. They were closed. The security guards there told me they are closed in that location. Where is supposed to be the immigration-mobile station now?

    Thank's!
