  1. Today I went to Jomtien Immigration to transfer to a Non O in readiness for a Retirement extension. This is what I was told and can someone verify this please.

    1) Get an Income statement from the Australian Embassy  (which I have from the australian embassy in australia)

    2) Take this statutory declaration to the ministry of foreign affairs to be stamped.

    3) Show bank statements of financials including the embassy statutory declaration income on my non o application. (I qualify suitably for the 65K per month financials)

    4) I cannot use the statutory declaration obtained for the non o to be again used in my retirement extension application.

    5) I need a medical and police clearance record (which I have from australia)

I find 2 trips to Bangkok for statutory declarations a bit rich at $80 a declaration.

Maybe, this is the correct way to do it, but just wanting clarification. Thanks

    Really harsh comments.

Perhaps you should take a look at yourself in the mirror as you suck another Chang back tapping the ass of a girl likely young enough to be your daughter.

Annoys you that I just made all these assumptions about you? Well, that's what you did to her with your quality farang comment. I'm sorry mate the quality of someone is not always measured by how much or how little money they have in their wallet. Although if you have lived in Thailand for any length of time you will find that for quite a few Thai people this is the only measurement.

In some cultures, the man of the house has complete control of the family finances. Looks like this is the situation that has occurred in here and he has left this poor lady in a terrible situation.

Most embassies have a policy of not handing out money so I doubt there will be any help coming from the Russian embassy. She must surely be an overstay and should hand herself into immigration policy.

If you read the posts here you will find that her husband IS with her. It's a scam!

This one has been here for years - Sukhumvit road, on the east side just before Soi Khao Talo (if heading south).

But I haven't been past for a few weeks and there has been some development going on just behind there - so it could have moved.

Thanks all, just what I was looking for. The thread can now close.

Don't know how large you are looking for but Tesco has loads of different sizes.

Have been to Tesco and all they had were smaller.

Looking around for about 100 x  230 size. The Juristic person said they'd seen them  sometime ago selling large 'oriental' types along fences on Thappraya Rd has anyone seen them again. Thanks you.

  5. I'm looking for a large cheap rug. As I'm in a rental condo don't want to spend big. I was told that were many places locals were selling them by the roadside but I have searched for them to no avail. Any ideas?

  6. Sounds good. I didn't want to have to travel to BKK to have it done. I've since phoned the Thai Embassy and have been told I can apply for either the Non O Visa or Retirement extension with the correct paper work before I leave.

Just realised I needed to 'quote' @Ubonjoe
