Covid Certificate For International Travel: Application Process
Jen65 replied to BKKBike09's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I had my International Certificate of Vaccination with me at my 2nd jab and requested it be completed correctly by Medpark Hospital , which they kindly did . So as well as my other vaccinations ( Yellow Fever / Hep A,Hep B , Typhoid, Tetanus ,etc) I now have the Covid-19 vaccinations in an Internationally recognized document (WHO ) !!! As a previous ships master and onboard doctor I am well versed in what documents I had to carry travelling around the world !!! -
VIDEO: Jomtien Beach Road collapses due to heavy storms
Jen65 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
yes, it wasn't so long ago that this "T" junction had a huge construction job done with piling to hold back the road while major works/large piping installed . I can only surmise that the construction and reinforcement was sub standard with insufficient reinforced concrete and piling to stop it shifting !!! Bet the contractor is long gone and no guarantee ? never mind , still many contented overseers with many brown envelopes -
Anyone know if the window security rollers are available here like they fit in Spain/France . Other than that maybe the security bars / grills could be nicely patterned ones , multi folding type on the inside so a) no problem in escape if a fire b) removes the unsightly look from outside and not a permanent fixed visible feature c) can easily be opened/closed by occupier from inside d) less maintenance inside e) easier to clean windows

As regards to planting trees for shade - absolutely do NOT plant palm trees within 10 mtrs of your house !! I just spent 10,000 baht and the hire of a 5t kubota to get rid the massive root spread that was going under the foundations , into the concrete and strangling the septic on the house I bought to renovate !! The're useless anyway - all the palms at the top get in your gutters and drop off to make a mess !

If tiling inside (or marble) always put half a tile up around the inside edge ! makes cleaning and mopping out much easier and no marks on the walls . Thai's have a habit of either not aligning the toilet drain properly with the pipe or fail to install the proper seal between both ! I have seen them just caulk up around the toilet base thinking that would be watertight !!! Result - blocked toilet / bad smells !! Watch this. Another issue is with tiling - many amateur builders don't use tile spacers and just stick the tiles edge to edge - completely useless if there is the slightest subsidence or movement as the new house settles - the tiles will crack . Ensure you you use tile spacers and grout.

Chinese Embassy Bangkok: Sinovac it is NOT a low quality vaccine
Jen65 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
and why does scientific data show that it is ineffective ( one dose anyway) against the Delta variant ! So why is Thailand scurrying to find / order alternative recognised vaccines ? If it's so good ,why then don't we simply accept and use Sinovac ? -
well , that's one end of the beach that's a washout but I'm just waiting on the other end down here at the far end of Jomtien ! I already posted that it was a grave error not to build solid rock/concrete block "groins" into the sea first and as they have not done so I expect the strong cross currents will wash away all that sand soon enough !

Also if you pay by bank transfer (payserve) then if the order is cancelled by Lazada ,the refund goes into your Lazada Wallet but to get that money one has to contact Lazada Customer Service to verify ones ID and the order , then they send you an email to complete / return in order to have the money refunded to your bank account . Bit of a pain but never never lost any monies and generally good service ( which is not what I hear about Shopee ! )

Moderna already made a public statement a while ago that all its production/allocation for this year is already made and scheduled so I think next year before any new allocations are made . -

Likewise , I was there yesterday and impressed by the arrangements for over 60's - separate queue , straight in , do the registration and directly to the booth for my 1st Pfizer jab . I get the feeling that the public and even officials are shying away from Sinovac - am not really surprised . Top marks for MedPark Hospital ! -
Medpark Pfizer Experience August 10.
Jen65 replied to Chomper Higgot's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I have my appointment at MedPark on the 14th (3 days time) and I want the Pfizer vaccine . It was mentioned that someone received a date for a second Pfizer jab three weeks later . Doing my research it can be more beneficial to receive the AZ vaccine as a second dose after four weeks . I was wondering if this was mentioned or requested by anyone and the Hospitals reply ?? -
