  1. Hi,

Here are a few of my reasons to come here.

I am single, play golf, like the food, the Thai people are great,I don't have to arrange golf times and I don't have to sit with people who are on family holidays (not that I have anything against them).

I can book the flight, hotel golf on the internet, easy and quick.most people I meet at golf have a similar outlook.

Xmas 2004 I spent with my son in Eygpt playing golf, cost 1200uk each, plus 50uk each per round.Tee times 7,00 morning or 15,00afternoons .Evgs were terrible.

Here a round of golf plus caddy and buggy cost 2500Baht, into one of the societies and everything is arranged for you, partner, transport, tee times.

The evgs you can do what you want, it like a TV don't complain about whats on switch it off if you don't like it.

The golf courses will be here after Pattaya evolves to a family destination, and it will evolve, it has to.

PS; I sit with some of these girls and the smart ones are racking it in, 300euro per month from each sweet heart , please help my family ect,

good luck to them, would you do it for their money?

  2. Hi ,

Nice to know everybody can write down what they want..........

But thats the problem nobody is perfect and we have to adapt and change as we get older, have children, move jobs, get fatter, get more stressed,.............move homes, have more children, have the mother in law vist, buy the pets, .........lose the job, move again.

You know if you will get on with somebody within 20min........after that its all luck and by the stars...

women from Venus men from Mars?

  3. Hi Again,

just back from the nip and tuck man.

I have always been of the opinion that to say you spent years with a woman who was awful

does not really say much about yourself,to then place into words how poorly you were treated

over the last 15 plus years is a waste of your time again.

Life is to short, treat other as you would like to be treated until they give you reason to change, then you can make a decision.

What do women want and why are they here?

So back to me, sorry no photos, to much humour in one day is not good

  4. HI;

Although this has been bashed to death.......................what does the woman want??

it its honesty and fidelity then then Thailand may not be the best place to find it from a man.If your looking in a bad second hand car lot dont expect to find a Rolls Royce in perfect condition.

The perfect woman, thank god every man and woman has a different view, other wise all the men would look like me!!!!!

  5. Hi,

Hua Hin.just returned from a vist there looking at property and land.

its a long way from Bangkok and with the new airport it will be further3-4hrs.

You can fly there 5200Baht return but you have to go to the OLD airport to do that when the new one opens up.

There is a new motorway opening soon? Soon as in Thai soon.

The area is good and lots of familys from Europe, down side was the development I saw were

at least 5 years behind in build quality as Pattaya.

It is also just as expensive as Pattaya, there will be a problem there is3 years ince as per usual the main road goes through it and is congested already.

Having said all this nice place and definatly worth a vist, the Kings residance will ensure it stays on the Thais list of places to live..

  6. Hi,

Many thanks for the nice comments.

Just some more input on this thread. As a look into the future, 20-30 years from now there will be lots of wealthy widowed Thai women around they will have land ,homes and gone will be the Pattaya as we know it,its called progress.

Then we shall see the same pressure placed on the Western men to support the family in Thailand, nothing is forever..

stupid man argue about past wise man argue about future................

define past , present and future.

If you sit in a car driving along a road, lookout the back window, thats past.look out the front window, thats future.Look inside the car thats present............................?

  7. Hi, Just to add my two pennys worth. There are so many male Farangs here you would have difficulty trying to prove them all wrong. The divource rate is at a all time high, humans are one of the few animals that take a partner for life and we are living longer..............

For most older men Thailand is Disneyland for adults,we are all looking for that special person to LOVE that includes both sexes, the thought of being old by yourself does not really appeal to either sex, anybody who tells you different male or female is not being truthful......

Being European my brush with American women can only be said to be slight but some definatly

are banging the liberation gong........This is just a personnel view..dont kill the messenger.

I have been married twice to two beautiful Western women, English -French and a Russian, have 2 children and there mothers are fantastic, we as many others could not live together with the pressures of modern life.It was not one or the others fault,it takes 2 people to tango.

I wonder if all the men living in Thailand went back home and had the zero pressure they have here

placed on them back home, how many would still be married?

I come here to play golf and there is nowhere in the world that is easier for a single man to arrange and play, meet new friends and feel relaxed most of the people I meet here are happy. The ones that are going home are usually the unhappy ones..

  8. I am sure this has been asked before butI have not read it anywhere.

What happens to property owened by a non Thai on death either in Thailand or abroad

(OK I appreciate you cannot own legally anything except a condo).

What is the best way to set up a will or arrange the passing on of the property to non Thai relatives.

A little morbid but i would like any estate to go to the correct people, I am not married to a Thai

    and don't expect to be...........!

Relates to houses, land and condos.

Imformative ans please........ don't buy.............won't do.

    Many thanks Ed

  9. So, I've had a thought. There seem to be plenty of people in the same boat, looking for land or planning to build a house etc etc.Iam in this boat also and weighing it all up.How abt getting a group of us together say 6 or whatever and buy a large plot between us and build a small exclusive development on it.If we are thinking abt spending 10 mil or so a peice on building a house we could probably join forces and do the same on our very own gated development for 8 mil or less.Obviously a lot of meetings first to discuss but Iam sure its a good idea.We could decide on the area, Bang Saray, Phoenix etc and decide on the basic house design, better that the development matches and go from there, I'd like a plot of approx 1.5 rai.I think if we had 6 interested parties we could get a 10-12 rai plot wall it off etc and we'd all be on an earner, security would be split so no hidden costs, totally non profit making.Land is cheaper in larger amounts, building costs cheaper in large amounts etc etc, the list goes on.Any one interested ? PM me if you wish.Iam serious on this.

    :o EPG.

    Hello,

I have just returned from Pattaya after looking around various options regarding land and off plan builds.I would be interested in a project buying a parcel of land and splitting it up into a small development. I do not at present have 12 mill Bhat approx 7mill baht available, but then I dont really need a 5 bed mansion just a 3 bed high spec house. If you interested in another party coming on board please email me back.. [email protected]..

Design Engineer by profession but have built and designed houses as a side line in the Uk previously.Looking at this as a possible 3-4 year investment.

Would appreciate a general idea of who and what you have planned.

I have looked at the Siam Royal View and unfortunatlay disagree with a lot that is said, the build will be good, location ok, and the fact that the site is nearly sold out proves a point. However, plots are a bit small and the idea of a self build always appeals.

Hope to speak soon.. Edward Junger
