Cool or not cool is one thing. But the rain, storms and stagnant pollution all over Bangkok down to the south, car deter in various domains.
Not to forget the mosquitos who seem to be having field days in this period with all the hazards that go with it.
Of course, no problem for the "never-happens-to-me" club. But it is a matter of concern to others, regarding the Dengue spread for instance.
Looks like mosquito repellant spray will boost their sales this year.

Something to do with displeasing a barstool girl who got her boyfriend to bring over his chums and bravely give the farang a thrashing ?
Always be wary with the bar ladies as it can lead to unpleasant or dramatic outcomes.

I feel like saying that the OsX is a gem, but here and there the hardware used by Apple could be improved (screen, keyboard). For Midi applications,. Vstis, confugurations of Audio interfaces all under Logic Pro, Mac is to this date, for a dummy user like myself, the best i.e. the simplest.
Obviously for the tech learned, Windows is a childs play, But the dummies who mainly want to plug and start to play straightaway with no glitches and enjoy the application, Mac is a lifesaver.

I still have, and still use, my 2014 Intel MBP. almost 10 years on, three replaced keyboards (I am really tough on keyboards), and some delamination of the screen (unnoticeable when lit), and it is still a workhorse.
Same for mine, on the 2017 MBP...2 replacements of the 3 keyboards thank god under the warranty...but recently some of the letters are starring to rub off and I don't no why !¨?..Maybe should get me Ph tested on my fingers 😂. I do hope the next gen keyboards will be of better quality as I saw some chaps at the local Apple store with older MacBooks in fine condition.
Any experience with the Apple Stores in Bangkok ?

Delamination seems to happen with cleaner fluid here, I remember buying some from the 20baht store and almost ate through my screen, I've since bought a 200baht one from a proper store but even that seems be too corrosive, get someone to bring over some from back home before cleaning up that sneeze mark 🤣..
Same for me on my 2017 MBP...and I recall just having lightly damped a microfibre cloth only with slight bit of water !! But the issue got solved recently as my screen went dead rand got it replaced (the screen) (at a cost🥵). Guess the screen won't handle the slightest bit of humidity on wiping.

Many but not-so-many years ago😉 (20xx) , on visa Waiver, just for a short stay, I got mine done in BB. 20 minutes and walked out with the entire set - Union Pay card, Passbook etc.
Ah yes, forgot, I was introduced by another person with a nice account in the branch. File closaed in a jiffy and very happy since with the service.
OP should only go by his guts and try mainly in Bangkok touristic areas. . Maybe not with BB but Kasikorn Bank around Nana Plaza could handle,
You will hear all sides of stories from those who really know but hard to say,
those who don't have a damm idea, but post as if,....
those who don't know shxx, but will have a good idea
etc. etc etc.
Try for yourself in the Sukhumvit area branches full of tourists and at worse, they will just say NO...or at best, you'll walk out with a passbook and your card.
But check things always for yourself with the place concerned.
Because Thailand as you know, there is the rule of the book, another rule specific to the branch office and mainly the rule of God !!
God is he or she behind the counter, handling your request.
If your hotel manager can recommend a branch with whom they deal and better come with you, introduce you for a few bills, you are sure to get it.
Just remember to bring passport and cellphone. If you get a thai tourist paid SIM (available at airport) even better as they get a bit cold with foreign numbers.
I would recomend TrueSim but of course somebody will pop up here saying another company is better as their celliphane wrapping is waterproof 😂

Well I know a Thai girl who went to Dubai with a group of 12 who paid a Agent to "learn" message, running from Loan sharks here, it was my (disabled) friends Wife,(ex bar girl) who had already abandoned him she has never been heard of again except for some crying emojis. Yippee.
One finds it hard to imagine all the nasty stuff that goes on in Dubai mainly, with all those posy-clean looking expatty-posers and inflencers and other false dyed boob-implanted fine quality east european females.. all who have become probably as uncouth as the others...and are not bringing anything good into those respective kingdoms.

Yeah this is Thailand, what could go wrong?😆.We were told in Oz when the casinos were legalised "NO way" could organised crime get in Australia. 😂How did that work out?[ Hint ,not so good]
Well, this is AN before anyplace else !!!!!!😂
So you think with no Casinos, Aussieland or Thailand would remain squeeky clean🤣 ?
Hint : I am not sure Man !!
With or without Casinos, the mafia or Organised Crime (to make it sound better), will always get in somehow. They probably control illegal imports and traficking of Durian in Aussieland ?!
You probably meant money laundering, that is usually facilatated with a Casino ??? , Yes, it is possible that a Casino can accelerate the process, but will it be a real game changer for washing the mob's Aussie £ ?
As said before, legal or not, the mafia, the mob wil always find something, Legalise and at least the biggest top mafia (that is called government or the taxman ) will get their cut and perhaps at somepoint of the tax spending, it could help those in need ?

Could be a good idea to have a card in wallet written in thai with name, address and obvious personal data, but also mentioned in Thai, which credit card to use in case of accident and who to inform. Can be a life saver if unconscious, mainly of course regarding the credit card and expenses !!

Plus you will not be insured.
On a different approach, people often choose to rent at first before buying and ignore or forget to check the type 1 "First Class" insurance (as its called) required to cover a rented vehicle. Of course many rent out big bikes/cars, vans with absolutely no coverage or inadapted coverage for commercial purpose i.e, rent.
Not to mention the other scams and falacious accusations of damage, inspired maybe by the fine jetski scammers of Phuket !!

It is quite common for 'recently cleaned' air-cons that then exhibit issues, such as 'turning on on their own' to be due to a trapped cable - there are Thai videos about this on youtube, so the wife tells me.
Worth opening and having a good look with this in mind.
Is that the case if it's some quack company who does the service ?

Of all Nationalities the Nigerians scheme and scam their way into any country where they can cheat and defraud. Am I exaggerating? Their own president stated on TV that Nigerians are utterly corrupt.
We have an inordinate number of them in Ireland. How? As there is no direct flight to Ireland from Nigeria. You claim asylum in the 1st country you land in.
I honestly have no respect for the majority of Nigerians as they have fraud and scams in their DNA from birth.
Pity for a country with a lot of resources and oil reserves of 36m barrels.
Why does the West, especially, take the junk from such countries when their despot tyrant leaders steal all the resources?
Criminal gangs of the west, the mafia, all have a lot to gain either through partnership or kickbacks from the imported criminals or the migrant traffickers-agents..you think if big money was not involved to the benefit of the local scum, they would allow it ?
In Italy for instance, where the mafia is alleged to get a fat commission from the agents who exploit the misery and desperation of the migrants and facilate their entry in Schengen space. Same in Thailand with the neighbouring nations who are top level importers of anything ranging from drugs to humain traficking and so on.
At the end of the day, not sure really who is to blame and who are the ones to point the finger on.

I'm no specialist compared to many of the immigration guru's to whom it's only gratitude for their valuable expertise and sharing.
But one thing is for sure. Each office seems to have it's own rules here and there ?..... and each officer has and makes up his own further below the food chain.
Add to that the mood of the day, that ends up in even changing rules made up, depending on the time of the day...or the month if it a Missus !!!!

i wish i could agree. just like koreans, they used to be disciplined and hard working... 30 years old and up still are, but the new generation is turning into mush. i used to tutor koreans and over the years i witnessed them becoming less and less disciplined and the parents wanted the kids to have fun, just like thais do. now i tutor chinese kids and the same attitude is starting to kill their drive. however, this lady is an example of what remains of what used to be a very hard working people
Well then let's hope for them that they will get some wisdom elsewhere then on Tik Tok, once they reach the 30+ group.
And let's hope for us, that they never do 😂

As there are not pollution alerts daily, many also have kept the N95 aside. Since there is in fact an alert now, could be a good idea to have that in mind along with any other motivation of use.
I am sure all the police on trafic duty in the middle of the roads will agree with you.

It is amazing and rather distressing how the war and hate of the countries involved, their dirty plans, get imported in peaceful or neutral nations, causing arguments, discussions getting heated up. Friendships are sometimes broken in non concerned countries just for their wasr...theirs wars that is or are of no concern to us here....except for all the oil price hikes, they are again going to create. 😡

Immigration Department should be run by the TAT. Within a week all our visa woes would be solved !!
Until then, all the goodwill of the TAT may just be a drop in the ocean.
Considering the immigration red tape all over Thailand or from Consulates abroad, no chance. Sure the one-week millionnaire "quality" tourists, no problem for the weed welding Full Moon Parties. But to get the well-off retirees to come, house, stay-spend.... major immigration reforms are necessary to ease all the red tape.

Between CraigL, OnlyFans and others....well if it's all between consenting and legally aged all along .....and if the weirdos are willing to purchase such fine merchandising and everybody is happy...because I dare not even dream of the XXL 60 year old Mamasan soiling the nickers by the chain in wholesale !!

At last !!...It was hectic to reach the other places. And if it's within reach of the skytrain, even better. Time for other furniture retailers to crash the prices now.
