  1. thanks, so does that effectively make it 150 days every time I would need to do the border run?
  2. What are the rules regards to employment? Can I obtain a work permit the same way as a Non-O obtained within Thailand? Also, when doing the border runs every 3 months, do I have to travel back to the same area I got the non-o every time and visit the embassy? Thanks
  3. I got halfway through the application and gave up, still got activated 10 mins later, T.I.T
  4. Nope, only accepting numeric digits as address (I know this is an old thread but would still like to know how to activate it, would save me 500 baht a month on AIS bills)
  5. easier to just make a website/app that sells them for 80 baht difficult to enforce and bigger fish to fry
  6. Amitriptyline can be bought OTC too, loose pills, very cheap, they also have Nortriptyline
  7. the cheapest pregabalin OTC I've found is 10x 75mg for 100 baht (10 baht a pill), a brand called 'Precious' never tried getting a prescription at a government hospital, would be interested to know if this particular drug works out cheaper
  8. Has anyone been to Savannakhet to do a border run recently?

  12. 90% of those in the queue are simply withdrawing cash as they don't want to pay the 200 baht a year ATM fee (no lie)
  13. Is Penang open yet? Just need a tourist visa now, non-b will come later Still don't know the best option, was hoping to go somewhere for just a 1 night stay
  14. need to go to the embassy to get tourist or non-b (not sure at this time), can't be a visa exempt entry would Laos be cheaper than Cambodia? @Sheryl(think this covers your question too)
  15. Needing to do a visa run the first half of June, at the request of my next employer What's the best option from Phuket? Could the Thailand Pass be a issue with booked travel dates? (taking too long to process within a short space of time)
  16. I'm planning a trip home to the UK which could be for up to a year One thing of concern is the medicine I've been taking here for the past 5 years. I take diazepam, tramadol and gabapentin on a daily basis for various types of pain. These 3 drugs are all class C controlled medicines in the UK. The diazepam is prescribed and i've kept every packet since starting, but the tramadol and gabapentin are bought over the counter without prescription. My prescription history in the UK should show diazepam. What's the best approach to this? I've thought about going to separate hospitals to get 1-3 month supplies, or would it be better to bite the bullet and see a doctor in the UK and get them? This could be a long wait to see a GP and a possibility of them saying no..
  17. Now that it's legal and for sale, can Kratom be used for withdrawal of Tramadol Been trying to get off it for a while now (150mg a day) but the lockdown has made it more difficult Are there any better alternatives if not? Tapering doesn't seem to be working
  18. I've recently moved into a new-build house and no shower units with water heaters have been installed. People have told me all I need to do is buy a shower heater unit and pay someone about 500 baht to install it. What I can't understand is how this is done - the bathroom's been newly tiled and the only electrical item is the ceiling light..
