How much are movies in the US? Thai cinemas arent cheap

$9-12 in Utah, $12-16 on West Coast, plus $6 for Coke and $8 for popcorn. So a movie date could cost $60 before dinner, drinks and parking. But the feeling of relief when the date is finally over is so intense it's almost orgasmic. Money well spent! (Note the sarcasm )

He referred to extending his visa, I was merely using the same language to make myself understood. I think we all know what it means; pedantry is not an attractive character trait.

(I actually told him he could do the extension earlier, which I think was helpful. Care to explain who you helped with your post?)

This might be helpful as it concerns extending stay. I've seen posted advice that you must show an ongoing flight within your visa time limit. That would mean everyone planning to extend 30 days would have to spend hundreds of dollars changing their return ticket. In USA I make a notation on my e-ticket that shows an 89-day stay, that I intend to extend my stay. No problem. Got my Tourist visa and passport returned quickly.

Clarify: when others posted about ongoing flights, they specifically said "If a single-entry tourist visa for 60 days, you must have an ongoing flight within 60 days". No qualifications made; no comments from others.

I left my home in CM on Sunday and spent four nights in BKK.  Back in CM now.  Hell if I'm running to immigration just to tell them this.  I stayed in a hotel, let them hotel tell them.  If they have a problem with it next time I have to go, screw 'em, I'll go back to America and never come back.  See how badly they miss my thousands of baht each year paying for their stupid, crushing bureaucracy.

I'm already disgusted by the cost for the notaries, forms, fees, and everything else for the retirement visa, re-entry permits, and the foolishness of registering me as an alien in my wife's home.  Now I understand I need MORE notarized forms from the embassy ($75 for every notarization) to get a driver's license.  Guess all the notarized forms I already have from my embassy saying I am who I say I am are not good enough for the drivers license people.  I'll keep driving without, thanks.

I yam who I yam - I'm Popeye the sailor man! (And don't forget to smile as you pay.) ?

  4. Massage $6 an hour. For a guy with advanced neuropathy, that is heaven. Nightlife option. Seldom partake but I like to stay innocent because it was my choice, not because I was forbidden to have any fun. The possibilities available at any age. The cost of living. Do you have any idea the cost of an ocean-view apartment in California? (Where I worked.) I'm paying about one-tenth that price on Pattaya Hill. The eye contact. The food. The legs. The daily little things that friendly Thais can surprise you with.

Checked or duty free go through nothing to declare.

Could you answer a question for me on this topic: Good pipe tobacco impossible to find in LOS. Were I to arrive with 1500g, do I pay duty on the other 1000 or do they confiscate some or all? Thanks.

Foreigners can own land. Even as small as a couple of Rai. Would happily pay yearly tax just to get it in your own name and not have to set up fictional company or risk it in a Thai name.

Good one. That alone would attract 40,000 additional retirees. That's not a lot scattered all over Thailand as they are not going to buy downtown Bangkok. If each generated an additional $25,000 income then that would be an annual boost to the Thai economy of $1 billion, or 33 billion baht.
