  1. It might sound crazy but check out Ikea wooden plant pot stands.  I've used them for years.  They are the perfect height, can drill through easily, and for heft you can put a big plant or whatever on the lower shelf.

The model I use is now not sold, but there may still be decent options for the budget conscious.

Btw I drive Bluesound Duo 2.1's with Parasound 200 Integrated.  Absolutely perfect sound for the price point.

I see some people post laughing smileys under my post suggesting nattokinase.

What gives? Was it actually funny, or do you have a problem with it?

If so, you may be right, but for the love of god, please man up, grow a pair and explain why.

In another post in a different thread, I posted something about not being allowed to use the yellow book as proof of address at the land transport department in Pattaya. One poster with I think it was over 100K posts (sic) offered his comment that my appearance was not up to standard. WTF? Was that useful or funny? What does he know about my appearance? He spends all day everyday making BS comments. Oh man!

So please, comment, but have something to say, don't be a keyboard warrior loser!

    Sir, this is the Internet.

I think some (many?) women are control freaks so they need to get their husband under their control at all times. Going out too late or leave her alone is too much freedom.

I'm lucky.  Mrs SR sends me into Pattaya when she wants to clean the house, because I 'make the place untidy.' No questions asked.

My definition of "Zionist" is someone who wants to make all of the area that used to be called "Palestine" into an exclusively Jewish state, and to do so would require the expelling (or at least denying citizenship) of all Arabs who claim to be Palestinians.

My definition of "Hamas" is someone who wants to make all of the area that used to be called "Palestine" into an exclusively Arab Muslim state, and to do so would require the expelling (or at least denying citizenship) of all Jews who claim to be Israelis.

In other words, I believe neither Zionists nor Hamas want a two-state solution. They both want it all for themselves.

Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail, and eventually, a two-state solution will be agreed upon, but right now, that looks very unlikely.

If Hamas laid down their weapons there would be peace.

If Israelis laid down their weapons there would be real genocide.

  5. BANGKOK, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Thailand has approved Western Digital's (WDC.O), 23.5 billion baht ($693 million) project to expand hard disk production in the country, Thailand's Board of Investment (BOI) said on Monday, as cloud technology and data centre demand grows.
The investment would boost the Thai economy by adding exports worth 200 billion baht per year and creating an extra 10,000 jobs, the BOI said.

Sim card routers are gaining in popularity, even in the UK . A friend in the UK has an Archer 600 tp-link , same as Sportrider . My question is , am I right in assuming you must have a decent clear passage to a transmission mast or would a good indicator be a good signal strength on your phone . Buying the Archer 600 is not cheap and if it does not perform well it would be a waste of money .

BTW I have often heard that True sim cards perform well .

Sorry I missed this question earlier.

If you have decent coverage on your mobile phone then the wifi router will be fine.

(Noting some operators have better coverage than others for the same location.)

If you love your dog, don't bring him here.

Between the snakes in the garden, other rabies infected soi dogs and many other obvious administrative hassles... plainly a taxi or a Bolt will usually never accept a dog.

A valid viewpoint, but overly negative for us.

Mutley loves it here in Thailand with the family.

A bit of paperwork is not too much hassle for a family member.

  8. We have brought pets to Thailand from UK twice.  One a cat, one a dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel).

Strong recommendation is use an agent to handle everything.  It saves a lot of uncertainty and stress.

Mutley's breed is naturally long haired. We have his hair cut every 6 weeks, and give him nice showers regularly.  He has had no problem at all adapting to Thailand.
