I've just started watching Donkerbos season 1. It's a crime drama set in Donkerbos, Limpopo (East of Namibia). This was originally recommended by @petermik a while ago on this forum. I agree with @Rimmers comments about it being similar to a Nordic noir series and that the filming could have been better. Yes, you will still get the personal tax allowance when moving here. I moved here 14 years ago and HMRC are aware of this. I also have a local gov. pension which does get an increase each year. If you are renting property out, you will probably need to file a tax return each year. On the tax return there is a box to tick to say you are eligible for the personal tax allowance. I've just started watching season 1 of Liaison. It's a spy thriller about 2 Syrian hackers who have info about terrorist cyber attacks planned to be carried out in the UK and the battle by the UK & French security services to obtain that info. You could create a Windows 11 virtual machine to build a test environment. I use VMWare Workstation Player (free) to do this. You could then install all your software applications on the VM to test compatibility.
