You can't do a file & folder backup, but you can recover individual files and folders by mounting a backup image as a virtual drive and then copying the files/folders  that you want to recover to their original locations. I'm sure you already know that.

I used skype to ring the IPC. Took about 20 minutes. Very easy and cost less than 50p.
