  1. While the man is reported to have a Filipina wife, that should not lead to any nationality slurs so some posts have been hidden. Others may be hidden if the bickering continues.

Please note the following forum rule:

    11) Do not post slurs, degrading or overly negative comments directed towards Thailand, specific locations, Thai institutions such as the judicial or law enforcement system, Thai culture, Thai people or any other group on the basis of race, nationality, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

  4. A post that defames a named business was removed. Read forum rules..

    6) Do not post comments that could be reasonably construed as defamation or libel. Defamation is the issuance of a statement about another person or business which causes that person to suffer harm. Libel is when the defamatory statement is published either in a drawing, painting, cinematography, film, picture or letters made visible by any means, or any other recording instruments, recording picture or letters, or by broadcasting or spreading picture, or by propagation by any other means. Defamation is both a civil and criminal charge in Thailand.

  5. To Marstons .... The fact that girls who work in bars might have a date with customers who pay a "fine" for the time lost to the bar does not constitute an illegal act in itself and what might happen between them later is not the bar owner's business - nor any law enforcement until an actual proven and witnessed act is deemed an offense under Thai law. Police are not likely to get excited about anything Mobi indicates in his "ad" for new staff.

  6. I was once told that honking horns 3 times when passing shrines - particularly those associated with road accidents that you see sometimes at road sides - is to scare away any ghosts that might try to call you to join them via a fatal accident. Thus it is some form of preventative measure. A temple where someone that you knew was cremated might lead to the same motivation.
