Took my 10-year-old son back to the UK for a visit back in April.  We flew Emirates via Dubai and it was perfect.  Big A380, easy break in Dubai and great service - a gift for the boy on each leg too!

    Have a great trip.

    cheers mate

Show the Thai passport when departing  through Thai Immigration and when you return to Thailand use the British Passport when arriving in the UK.

Show the British passport when checking in, with the airline in Thailand.

You will not have a problem my wife has Thai/ Australian passports my daughter Thai/ Australian/UK passports they travel overseas regularly without any issue doing the above.

    Thanks

Correct, except the check-in staff will want to see his UK visa, so use his UK passport at check-in. Passport control may also ask to see his UK passport as there is no visa in his Thai passport. On your return, there is no passport control for passengers leaving the UK, so Check-in with his Thai passport and use same when you arrive in Thailand. You can use the fast track when coming back to Thailand as you are travelling with a child and a Thai citizen.

thanks for the information , how do i arrange fast track

That's what @hotandsticky was advising. But at check in, you show the British passport. If you show the Thai one, they'll ask where his visa to enter the UK is.

when i book the flights do i enter my sons British passport number , thanks

It is located Zone 2 after security and prior to passport control.

    It's adjacent left side.

At airport they offer an optional "service fee" 200b and provide tm8 + photo etc so you just hand over pp.

For the boy, use the British passport at check in; use the Thai passport at Immigration in Thailand, use the British passport at Immigration in the UK.

Don't waste money on a multiple reentry permit if it is going to be another 8 years before you go again.

I thought I had to fly out Thailand my son would leave on his Thai passport then in the uk present his British passport

  7. Hi All, advice on going back it's been 8 years since I was back so it's a 2 week trip leaving in August I'm doing a 90 day report next week should I get a re-entry stamp there or at BKK, taking my 10 year old son with me he has Thai and British passport first time on aircraft for him, any advice would be appreciated thanks

I am in the same boat as you, about a 200km round trip.

Have you thought of ringing them.

I remember last time I did my 90 days on line, I got an email back the next day saying declined, contact your immigration office.

I rang them, explained, and they said hmm, try again, I did, and the 90 days was approved, perhaps there was a glitch in the system, I would contact immigration and then try again, if they say to, might save you that dreaded round trip.

Thanks, yes i did that he said apply again on the 28th  but the next day I got the same message giving me 4 days , going to immigration today

Well if that's the case, it's definitely time to slog on out to your immigration office and get it sorted out
😞 never heard of that happening (which doesn't mean it has NEVER happened just that I never heard about it 😛 )

Yes it's a pain in the ass as it's a 230k round trip

Are you due to renew your annual extension on that date, because if you are, they won't renew you a further 90 days, happened to me.

Took my passport with application in, they gave me my passport back and said once approved, will provide me with a new 90 days, as they did.

I didn't like not having a new 90 days, but they said it is the way the system works and of course I had no issue, show the pending stamp date if anyone asks in the mean time.

My annual extension is due February 2025

can you post an image of the bottom left of the PDF approval they sent you that shows the next report date?

Just curious, when does your current extension run out? I ask because several people got "short" 90 day report dates because it only approved them until their current stay stamp expired

Might not be why yours was short though 😕 just a thought

Hi can't do the photo as useless on phone but this is what it says. This is not a extension of stay notify your address again on 28th July 2024

Best option is Khon Kaen University Hospitsl (Srinagarind).

2 options there: regular public channel, or their semi-private channel ("Special Medical Clinic"). Unless really short 9f funds, the second option is recommended -- faster and you are treated directly by senior doctors.

    https://www.smckku.com/

I assume they will be able to do low dose CT screening for lung cancer. But if not  it is definitely availsble at Bangkok Hospital Khon Kaen.

    thanks Sheryl

    @ancharee

As a smoker, even if you stop now -- which you absolutely should do, and if necessary get medical help to do so -- you should get a low-dose CT scan to check for lung cancer. These scans, which are relatively new, can detect lung cancer in  its earliest stages and has been a game changer in the prognosis and treatment of lung cancer. Caught early, survival rates are excellent. Where in Thaland do you live?

Low dose CT scan for lung cancer is recommended yearly for current and former smokers over age 50 who have a 20 pack-year history or more.  A pack-year is equal to smoking 1 pack (or about 20 cigarettes) per day for a year. For example,  smoking 1 pack a day for 20 years, or by smoking 2 packs a day for 10 years, or smoking a half pack a day for 40 years.

As for your throat/bronchitis issues, these need a visit to a doctor (internist or pulmonary specialist) to assess whether it is simple bronchitis  or the start of something more. Important that they thoroughly examine your throat. Aside from lung cancer, problems associated with smoking include COPD and cancers of the mouth and throat.

Thanks , I live 100k north east of Buriram

That's annoying and not in the spirit of wanting to give your blood for the benefit of others. Had you previously donated elsewhere?

I used Thai Visa Express in December last year, they did an excellent job and can speak good English and can fill in the application form if you want. The girl I spoke to 'Ying' is very good, she knows exactly what are the requirements, like proof of address etc!

    https://thaivisa-express.com/thai-visa-express-pattaya/

From dropping it off to pickup...two weeks exactly.    12,000 all in!

12,000 plus the passport fee ?

I just bought two 450 ml bottles of ethyl alcohol 98% and will boil down some local bud and leaves.

What I would like to know is whether or not it is better to decarb the herb before boiling or decarb the extract in the form of brownies or whatever.

Thanks to anyone who would share information on that.

Hi, I will be doing the same  this week and checking if decarb or not
