Yes, I understand that, you entered on a new Non O 90 day Visa on July 18th.

Therefore your 'permitted to stay' stamp you received at the airport on entry should be dated Oct 15th.

    Enter July 18th > 90 days > Oct 15th.

Operation Sept 3rd - what date is your return flight?

You can only apply for another extension based on medical grounds (not retirement).

I don't want another extension. My previous visa/extension of stay expired while l was stuck outside of Thailand. I want to apply for a new non immigration o based on retirement. I have no return flight. The Thai Embassy that issued the 90 day non immigration o medical indicated l could apply for a non immigration o based on retirement once l was in Thailand.

Thanks, if you entered on July 18th your 'permitted to stay until' stamp should be dated October 15th.

Operation scheduled for Sept 3rd - question is will you be able to travel and leave Thailand by Oct 15th?

No , my previous extension of stay expired on May 30th while out of Thailand and unable to return. I now have a 90 day non immigration o based on medical. Looking for advice on the process to apply for a new non immigration o based on retirement.

  3. My extension of stay expired on May 30th while unable to return to Thailand. I reentered on August 18th on a repatriation flight on a non immigration o 90 day visa  based on medical. Eye surgery was scheduled for June , now rescheduled on September 3rd. I have this 90 dayVisa, is my next step to go immigration and take required information and documents and apply for a new non o based on retirement?

  4. Just my little assessment on the ASQ costs that most think is unreasonable. The cost quoted included two covid-19 tests with the going rate being 5000 baht each. Twice a day visit by nurses would have a cost. Three meals a day delivered to your room. Extra costs incurred by the hotel to meet strict requirements laid out by the health ministry. All of this really makes the 15 day stay fairly reasonable. I am in ASQ right now so speaking from experience not hearsay.

    No conversion would be needed.

Immigration should allow you to apply for a extension of stay based upon retirement of any 90 day non-o visa entry.

Thank you. I left Thailand in March. My existing extension of stay expired in May while stuck out of Thailand. I recently reentered Thailand with a non immigration o based on medical on a repatriation flight. In ASQ now.

For medical treatment it can be a single entry non-o visa or a tourist visa. Reading some info it appears it would have to be a non-o visa for medical treatment since it is not possible to enter on a tourist visa at this time.

The is some info on the Jakarta embassy website.  http://www.thaiembassyjakarta.com/en/consular-services/important-information-on-visa-application/

Can it then be converted to Non immigration o based on retirement?

  7. If they dismissed every police officer and government official that demanded and expected bribes there would be few left on the payroll. I personally had to pay a 20000 baht bribe at the land title office to get something approved in a reasonable time. When building, the boss of the workers had to pay 15000 baht to the police get a worker off trumped up charges. Previous to that the head of the truckers filling our land told me he pays the police monthly so all his trucks and drivers aren't harassed.  It's absolutely everywhere.
