  1. I was there in 1977. He was a very nice gentleman. Good times back then. Used to store my golf clubs in the bar so when I came down to Bangkok to play golf they were always there.
  2. Thai officials haven't finished with their land dept. purchases yet.
  3. It is dangerous to tell the truth in Thailand. Just mention facts about Thai history and you will be targeted.
  4. Should have spent a year or two or more in a psych jail cell. Could have affirmed there.
  5. I was in MPLS during that time. Had to grocery shop 50 miles from home.
  6. Was in a factory in Chonburi once. All they did was change tags from made in China to made in Thailand. Tons of clothes. Shipping boxes going to USA.

  9. I love Uncle Tony. PC has to go. Bring comedy back. Wow. The province of Porkabun in the news. Amazing Thailand. Once upon a time there was a very famous place behind the pig house in Muang Petchabun. A busy place for local and other provincial tourists.

  14. I have seen this also. Not just Thailand but on a bus in the US. My Thai wife yelled at her and informed the bus driver.
  15. I have done that in the 70's and enjoyed everyone of those towns. I did it to practice Thai language.
  16. Lands Of The Free. By Lew Ruffing. A PCV in rural Thailand in 1972. He worked in Amphur Chondan, Petchabun. Hmmm I wonder why I mention him.
  17. I took a sample of concrete when they were pouring road in front of my house in rural Isaan. Took it to Bangkok for analysis. One half cement missing, too much gravel and sand and water. Did not dare mention to anyone. Phuyai Baan is a friend of CPAC. Road crumbled within two months. But had a big opening ceremony with the Gov. and VIP's at the village temple not even close to the road.

  19. I never had a phone or laptop coming into Thailand. One female IO said I had to have a phone and even stapled a note in Thai saying "don't allow entry without phone. Got a free broken in VN and showed it on return. Male IO laughed and took the note out.
