Cracking song. However how does this fit into trains?
The last plane out of Sydney almost gone
In 7 flying hours I'll be landing in Hong Kong...
My mistake - I have always thought the lyric was "the last train out of Sydney's almost gone".

Lots of Russians don't want to die in a meat grinder either, about 1 million have left Russia to avoid being drafted.
I guess Putin's propaganda arm is not convincing them.

Reading a manual makes me a nerd?
I would have thought acquiring self-control, and behaving like a mature adult, are the attributes of a man.
I'd love to watch you play golf.

That's funny. How on earth would someone ever know that in advance? But you Aussies loved giving us yanks <deleted> when I was there 40 years ago. They never stopped, but I was a better man then. They had rough time with me. Food and wine were cheap and top class, best on earth.
Yanks are sometimes so up themselves we can't resist the temptation to extract the urine. We can still sell stories of drop bears and hoop snakes to the more credulous.

I read the operator's manual of everything I buy, so I can understand how to operate it, and what its limitations are.
I'm guessing the OP threw all of his toys out of the pram as a baby.

Really they don't, I can verify that but they are all over the dam place outside of the city. Its true, but they have too dam many flies. I got married to one from Portsea Melbourne area many years ago. Have some pity.
I once played golf with an American guest who made the mistake of wearing a white polo shirt in summer, his back was covered with flies.
Portsea Golf Club is one of my favorite courses.

Are you referring to the United States? Or South America? Can you please clarify. Thai's are experts in geography as well know. My favorite question from them is. Is it hot in America?.
Before you get too conceited on geography, please note most Americans think Australian cities have kangaroos hopping up and down our thoroughfares.

Somehow defending yourself is not in their vocabulary? Europe needs Uncle Sam LOL
IIRC Europe certainly needed Uncle Sam in the aftermath of WWII, hence the Berlin Airlift and the Marshall Plan.
Why did you choose a nom-de-plume whose namesake headed up the NKVD during Stalin's purge of 1934 - 1936, only to be executed in 1938?

Well I can start the digression by asking if you realisticly beleive that Putin is an actual danger of "winning" against Nato, considering he will be fighting in the Ukraine until he dies, US aid or not.
Putin could conceivably win against NATO if it is neutered by Trump.
Ukrainians have to kill 8 Russians for every casualty on their side to even achieve parity.

The theory (spin) was ... bombs are made to prevent wars.
The reality ... wars are made to sell bombs.
People dying is simply part of the profit making.
AFAIK the US is doing very well for itself in that field, whereas those nations who bought Russian armaments are having considerable buyer's remorse.

Ukraine is of interest to anyone who remembers what the Iron Curtain was like, with half of Europe stagnating under the Soviet banner.
Putin has repeatedly said he wants the Soviet Union restored to its former glory. He won't stop at Ukraine if he wins there.
You are simply too young to remember those times.

Do you have a response which isn't propaganda talking points by said groups? I wasn't around for Vietnam (born 82) but I was told that's how it was back then too.
AFAIK in Vietnam, neither side was trying to commit genocide, or forcibly relocate children.
OTOH, Putin definitely wants to finish what Stalin started in Ukraine in 1932. Fifty years before you were born.
Try reading some history before making egregiously ignorant posts.

What's a reasonable price for a lady drink?
in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Posted
When I was in the bar scene years ago, 150 baht for a lady drink was about average. Usually the girl got 50 baht of that.
Many lady drinks do not contain alcohol. Some girls don't want to be drunk all the time. Some girls also don't want to do P4P, they are content to make their money off the commissions.
It's a transaction, they are giving you their time in exchange for your money.
I never asked a girl to go with me. I waited for them to initiate discussion.
