  1. I'm just curious, does anyone here know anyone that has, had, or has shown symptoms of this flu? Obviously, I don't know millions of people, but I do know a few. Of all the people that I know, and the people that they know, no one has it, or if they have they didn't know it.

My family and I may have had it back in early January. High temps, diarrhea, not able to drink a sip of water without vomiting; all for about 3 days.

  2. I got the same stamp this morning from Changwattana. Seems this is this COVID emergency visa. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with my last Non-O extension. I didn't need to show my kids' birth certificates, home address, lease, and she didn't even take my passport front page.

I asked if I needed to bring another letter from the (US) embassy when I come back and she said "Yes, new letter with new date".

I have a Non-O single entry guardian. Already did the 60 day extension. Maybe something to do with them waiting to see how long the borders are closed? Maybe biding time for this?

  3. Just got back with a 28 day COVID extension. My Single Non-O + 60 day ext. expired today. (guardian visa)

If you have the same visa as me, go to Counter N, not the usual counter L. This visa isn't attached to the Non-o. She didn't want any birth certificates, rental agreements / house address, not even the front page of my passport! I came home with a stack of papers normally needed for a Non-O ext..

She took all of the usual applications w/pictures and the letter from my US Embassy. Took 15 minutes.

I got there about 4.45 and was 42nd in line, ushered in around 5.30 and given a number. Around 7.15 they started letting numbers in about 7.45. I was out by around 8.30.

  4. I just got back home. I extended my single Non-O guardian for the Covid (I had already extended it by 60). It seems that there was a queue for tourist visas at CWattana, but that is the extent of my knowledge. Also there was a queue for 90 days reports and B visas, but again, it wasn't to do with me.

By the way, it took me about 30 minutes to get it from Counter N (not the usual Counter L). They gave me a ticket for Counter L , but very quickly helped me to sort their mistake.

Seems this visa has NOTHING to do with Non-O. They weren't interested in rental agreements, birth certs. of children. They didn't even take the front page of my passport. They only took the US Embassy letter and copies of the 'base' visa and the 60 day extension from my last visa and applications. 1900 baht and on my way.

I got there around 4.45 and was number 42 in queue. out by 8.30.

  5. I'm in the same position as fondue zoo, but a guardian non 'o' visa. I wrote my US embassy a few days ago and got the generic letter. After reading a bit here, I e-mailed again and got a 'personalized' letter within a few hours with my name, DOB, and passport number on it.

It was very quick. I sent the e-mail about 6.30 this morning and had the new one before 10.00 am. The 'personalization' is nothing that I couldn't have done myself to the 1st one sent to me, as it's only my details added to the bottom of the generic letter (risking forgery) but at least now I can bring it up on my e-mail and show immi CW proof that it came from US embassy. I'm going to try to go to CW tomorrow, missus and kids in tow (unfortunately).

Good luck everyone. Please stay safe.

This same post was accidentally posted to the Australian Letter topic. This is a re-post. Mods please delete the previous post in the Australian Letter topic. Sorry I made that mistake!

  7. Reading this is similar to being in the 4th grade. It's a virus that originated in China. China and most touristy countries are lying about it.

If you happen to live in one of such countries, wash your hands (carry soap with you), open doors with your shoulders, an N95 mask MAY help a little, but you're still going to get it if you come into contact with it.

Nobody (especially China) stopped it. Chinese people with it are still "escaping' it. It's ok to be wary of Chinese people. They are spreading it.

  8. @Trujillo  There is a concept in Western society called 'Mind your business'. No one mentioned not helping a person in distress or in danger.

Where are you from that you tend to other's business?

It was also mentioned before, pedo's aren't welcome.

  9. @chickenslegs and that's a great outlook to have. Thank you for not demonizing me and seeing my opinion of things. They are only what I can see from film and pictures.

I wish that I could see this type of <deleted> happening in the future and stop it. Unfortunately, there are people <deleted> up enough to carry through with this and there is no way to stop it.

There was ABSOLUTELY no cause for this. (Maybe the General and his wife deserved it).

  10. @chickenslegs   I can see your point, but America hasn't used an M16 for a number of years. This guy must have had access to old stock as USA "stopped supporting" them.

I have pretty extensive footage of it all. He does use a battle rifle (Chinese H&k variant?) I can't really tell what it is. It  is a .223 though.

The problem is, the news will have you thinking the <deleted> was walking around like Rambo with belts wrapped around him, feeding his machine gun.
