Thanks, Unfortunatly i am a technophile but i have no clue.
Hi burbonizer,
Unfortunately my technical skills are legendary
But maybe Scouse could transfer this post to Forum support or Linex, you might possibly get a better response from there.
Good Luck with the application
Moss
Or you could start another thread there instead, that might be less bother,

You can make that 3 now .............. used to have season ticket at the manor back in the mid to late 80s .......... they wont be down for long ... especially when the bald eagle's at the helm ....

Are you English Noodles?
I feel this is the comment that kicked it all off again before, fuelled of course, by the drowning statement, it didn't help to think that I thought, 'Noodles', was a great name for a dog found on the street!
Whatever the history, surely the puppy thread which has been barked out over several threads should now quiet down to a whimper, instead of dogging many threads and setting many people off biting at each other.
Just an idea.

Hi Treetiger,
I have never stayed in Patong, but it is a very lively place, I am also not sure if there is an area to chill out, only went there for a walk round once.
I have stayed at Kata and this is a very quiet place with good hotels and a great place if you are looking to chill.
Plenty of scope for trips out or staying on the beach, this would be a good choice if your choice is to chill, in my opinion, however you may get a little bored if you stay for a long time, but that maybe what you are looking for, not being bored of course.

Oxford kick of their second match of the season, away to Dagenham, who got to the play-offs last season so is sure to be a hard game.
With Oxfords 2-0 win on Saturday leaves them presently third in the table, lets see where they will be tonight.

Mossfinn, are you Dan Tilley in disguise???
I think Dan may take exception to that remark

Maybe a bit harsh... but on that particular day (check the OP's date/time stamp) there were several threads on the same topic running concurrently... it was getting a bit frustrating at the time.Hey Jai Dee,
I did apologise, if I had realized what was going on, I wouldn't have said anything.
I hadn't noticed that someone had resurrected an old thread and at the time of my post I was a little surprised you would give such a critical response, when put into context, your response is obvious.

Papa, I am sorry for your loss.
As several posters have already said, only you can make the decision but you have already made the journey three times in the last six months.
I do not know how you feel, as I have never had the close family bond of parents, but in my thoughts I believe that to visit a Cathedral on the day would be the right thing to do if you decide not to travel.
I wish you well

or do we?

Well, it would appear some people knew for sure, as both threads have been closed down.

Just another beef I have, why do people refer to other boards, but do not mention them by name, is there some magic spell that will bring on some unnamed catastrophy
Yes .
Thank you Jeff, I no longer have a beef.

If it counts for anything, I can vouch for t.s.'s identity from another forum (no, not that one).

Before I have to pull up the draw-bridge and prepare to defend the ramparts this is not directed at you Insight, it happens a lot. kerryd is that the right emoticon to use

have you ever stopped to consider that some of the "trolls" that every body attacks so vociferously on this thread may not be trolls?
i realize this post itself will be denounced as a troll, but i have said my piece
I also think you are making some valid points, some people are being hit with shot and shell, in my opinion, way beyond the call of duty.
If they are a troll, well, it can be dealt with in several ways, if you feel strongly and negatively about it, attack the post not the person or the partner, the seanc07, was attacked unmercifully, despite any suspicions anybody might have, none of us know for sure, or do we?
Trolls can also be a good thing if they draw out intelligent debate and flames and abuse kept to an absolute minimum.
There is one other thread where the OP has posted that people have pm'd him because they didn't want to be attacked on the forum, now that can't be right.
On each occasion, I felt they requested advice and they generally received pretty awful abuse, I just cannot see the point of being abusive, you can make your point with a nudge or even a blatant denial, but why qualify it with vitriolic abuse.
The puppy story was a different matter, an overall great show of compassion by Lacoste was blackened by an unnecessary piece of information that transpired to be inaccurate, with the little information at our fingertips it got responded to in kind.
It then, in my opinion got out of hand, spreading over four threads,(that I know of) keeping the mods on their toes.
As kerryd says, quite rightly, this is generally a word format information forum and misunderstandings can occur that can't be alleviated by body language and facial expression, believe me I know about that from personal experience.
But why oh why do certain guys have to be so vitriolic in response?
My two h'pennys worth over.

This place IMO is Mae Ramphueng or near there.
This beach (Mae Ramphueng) looks nice and not dangerous you can think at first while playing or swimming in the sea. You can not see the danger is always lurking - it is lurking in undertows and currents.
That is always a tragedy and my condolences to the familes.
This story is posted somewhere else and I said on that thread that my wife was on Mae Ramphueng beach and I could hear the waves crashing at that time when she phoned me, she said the sea was very unsettled.
I wondered at the time whether it was near where the trajedy happened, eugeneri, I think you have confirmed it might have been.
I hope the family will come to terms with their loss.

Thanks for that Terry, but please tell me where you can hear her calling, as I havn't seen or heard anything from her since I was 13 and I would like to avoid the place, as I don't particularly want that situation to change.

Boris Johnson has given up U.S citizenship because, 'of idiotic and aggressive behaviour by U.S immigration staff'.
BJ holds both U.S & British Citizenship but usually only travels on his Brit passport, but because he was born in the U.S, I.O's told him he must travel on his U.S passport, which had expired.
He was asked by an I.O, 'Have you ever held a U.S passport', of which he answered 'Yes, but it had long expired'.
He was told he had to travel on an American passport if he wanted to enter the U.S.
He has accepted that the U.S can get by without him, so has tendered his resignation from the U.S as a Citizen.
Two points, I wonder how many know of this regulation and perhaps who cares, and I wish it was that easy to get rid of him although he can be a laugh at times he is completely hopeless.
