  1. Yes, I have tried paying online for various purchases from vendors that list TrueMoney Wallet as a payment method for Thailand e.g. on Steam and Google Play Store. However, when choosing that option, you first get redirected to Alipay and then to the TrueMoney Wallet app which displays a notification that "This service is only available for Thai citizens". Years ago, I asked TrueMoney support why I can't use it and they confirmed that the Alipay feature is only for Thai citizens. This is for online payments - I'm not sure about in-person payments if you travel to China or elsewhere. My account has the "Advanced" status.
  2. I had a similar experience a while ago with Kbank on a non-immigrant visa. Initially they refused to open an account with just a passport and rental contract and asked for a work permit/house book. But once I shown them my Thai driving license, they approved. Their KYC procedures were satisfied simply by having a second form of ID. Same with TrueMoney Wallet, they only approved me once provided with a Thai driving license.
  3. I can answer one question: you can't use the Alipay feature on TrueMoney as a foreigner.
  4. In Bangkok they wouldn't renew my tax sticker last year until I paid for one speeding ticket from Prachuap Khiri Khan, so it's not just fearmongering anymore.
  5. I've had it happen to me twice, both at Ban Laem and at Ban Pakkard. Both times it was because the IO failed to notice that I have a MULTIPLE entry visa. Each time, after they finally realized it, they let me through. The Cambodian side also needed a lot of pointing out that I still have a valid multiple entry visa.
  6. Go to Ban Pakkad instead, it's ~100km from Poi Pet and you can do an in-and-out if you have a multiple entry visa. I did it last month. They might ask for an extra payment on the Cambodian side for getting stamped out immediately. Just make it clear that you already have a visa for Thailand.
