I use him every month or so. He takes his time and gives me a good cut ... but I suppose it all depends on how
difficult your requirements are..

if you're coming into the harbor you follow the marker buoys or wind up on the rocks. You don't make your own way up to navigate. Anyway my understanding has always been to choose a path and try to follow it, not invent one.
The only way they knew where to place the buoys was by people making their own way and ending up on the rocks.......
Get over what you saw. Maybe you have just hit some rocks yourself, so put your own marker buoy down and carry on to your destination in the way you choose..

For a quick fix curry in Pattaya I buy Waugh's curry powder in Big C, Goldenfry gravy in Siamsburys on Khao Talo and dried chillis anywhere....The Goldenfry thickens up much better than Bisto and just add chillis and Waugh's to taste but for me 1 Tablespoon of Gravy, I 1/2 Tablespoon of Waughs and 2 finely chopped chillis in a large mug then add boiling water...Certainly not Egon Ronay but great on a plate of sausage and chips with a pint of Castle Creek Red watching the footie..

Just tried my first can of Tapper, as a previous stated the head didappears in 2 seconds. Anything is better than the top three, but I think I'll stick with Cheers +
My local Family Mart replaced the red Cheers Xtra with a slightly duller red can of Cheers Strawberry Testes or some such <deleted> and I haven't been inside since. This morning I was delighted to see Tapper available in the 7/11 next door.
I agree with all other posters that say it is a fresh lighter taste and lubbly bubbly on the tongue. I am unsure about somebody saying the head disappears after 2 seconds ... Surely as an extra strong lager it is drank very fast and very cold ... or is that just me..??

As i said, i assumed that the credit card company / bank is not charging any extra fees. If you get charged any extra fee with your card you do of course have to include this in the calculation and if you plan to use the credit card to retrieve money you should try to get one without extra fees.
Thanks Jack ...I have only been receiving my pension for a year or so and am looking at maximising my payments into Thailand..

I just checked the rates for Mastercard, Transferwise, Visa and Superrich for yesterday.
I assumed the credit cards do not charge any additional fees and i checked how many US Dollars you have to pay to retrieve 10k THB in Thailand, the result, best to worst.
Mastercard: 319.20 USD
Superrich: 319.80 USD
Visa: 320.54 USD
Transferwise: 324 USD
Yesterday Transferwise was about 1.5% worse than Mastercard
Interesting - do these figures include a "cash fee" from the card company and/or a transaction fee from the card company and/or a 3% transaction fee at the point of payment? ... Or are your calculations the total amount?

Hello Jeremia,
When you proceed to payment you can choose how you wish to pay. The fee for each payment method is clearly shown. To pay by standing order/faster payment direct from your bank is the cheapest if u have online or telephone banking. It is £6.96 for a £1k transfer. Once chosen Transferwise will immediately show their bank details in order for you to set up and make the transfer, and once set up with your bank, u dont need to do it again for future transfers. The net exchange rate and total amount that you will receive is also clearly shown. If you choose to pay by credit or debit card the charge is a couple of quid more; £8 something or other. It is also clearly shown on their website before you commit to the transfer. The advantage of paying by bank transfer is that you dont have to pay immediately and can cancel it later if u wish. The exchange rate was guaranteed for 24hrs but their website has recently changed so Im not sure if this is still the case. I usually delay payment for 23hours in case the rate shoots up, in which case I would cancel, but it never has...haha. Last night, very tired, I forgot to make the online payment within 24hrs but I could still make payment 9 hrs later this morning and I even received this morning's better exchange rate. Hope this helps.
Here is the link again in case anyone else reading this wants to sign up for a free £500 transfer:
transferwise.com/u/terencep15
Perfect reply!!!
I didn't want to go too far into the transaction menu. Thanks for your help and advice...

Transferwise is user friendly, fast and offers the best exchange rate even after their charge, and there is zero charge from my Thai receiving bank which is Kasikorn. And you can use this link to get the dollar equivalent of £500 free of charge on your 1st transfer:
Hi SunsetT,
I have followed your link - thanks very much - but before I go further into the transaction may I ask what method you used to provide Transferwise with the funds and how easy was it. My funds will come from UK..... I am unsure of a "cash fee" if I use a debit card ???

True.. It can sound like a bomb has exploded.. Like a terrorist attack.
To the general public, yes I guess they would sound similar but the transformer explosion is a very very loud BANG with no blast wave but a terrorist bomb has a deeper BOOOMF followed by a strong blast wave that can lift a car off the ground..

Where would you have expected them to be taken? Pattaya Memorial is really popular with tourists and they are quite tourist-friendly. I'd be more than happy to be taken there instead of PIH or Bangkok Hospital.
And it's nearer - I think....

Being very cynical, but it is strange the way certain places that the government / local police etc want cleaned up - get accidentally burnt down!
A few months ago a transformer near the junction of Pattaya Tai and Sukumvit exploded making most of Wat Tam area without power. Then a transformer caught fire on Sukumvit opposite the Arunothai junction . Are you saying that the Government want to close Sukumvit down in that area ..???? ...Or perhaps it is just widespread bad workmanship/products and not some devilish plan ..... or a squirrel invasion... ??

No information regarding that, never heard of that before.
It was an option on one of the Pattaya "Clampdowns"..No idea if it still exists because nobody I know now gets in a car or on their motorcy whilst drunk ...Obviously 30 hours of Father Ray's did the trick!!

It would be nice if foreigners could provide community service at the temple as an alternative to a fine.
Has the option to carry out community service at Father Ray's been removed as an alternative to paying a fine or is that just for drink/driving fines ????

I know exactly what you mean. I worked in rural China in the early 90s. I went to a local outdoor barber showing him how much I wanted trimming using standard finger and thumb ........ Unfortunately he took it to mean how much I wanted left on ...
