Accent is not everything and it should not be the gauge used to measure success.
Singaporeans speak with a rather distinct accent but one has to respect their success over other countries in SE Asia.
I have personally met a number of NES who can't spell words correctly.- 2

Same goes with people with difficulty in hearing. Prolonged exposure to loud sounds have caused the deterioration of my ability to hear.
It is difficult for me to hear everything before everyone started wearing masks. I am lost now.
Avoid taking your mask off because you will get the looks and it will increase your risk of picking up something from somewhere. Have things written down or use your phone. -

This is a very strange case.
Some questions to try pin-point the problem (if any).
1 - YOUR 90-day report
> You skipped the location part, but after having submitted got an approved e-mail.
Did you check on the website if the status of your 90-day report is indeed APPROVED?.
If so you should be able to print the Notification Report with your next report-date (that being the form that you are expected to keep in your passport).
2 - Your Wife's 90-day report
> You write that her report notification status is already PENDING for 12 days
Some questions:
a) Is it a long time ago (years) that your wife has not left Thailand? If she entered together with yourself last time that cannot be the problem
b) Does your wife have a new passport and did not re-enter Thailand since she has that new passport?
c) Has your wife done 90-day reports before (in person, by mail or on-line) with her present passport?
d) Was your wife's 90-day report filed in the 15-day before till due date window?
1. I skipped the log-lat that pinpoints my location in thailand because every time i click on the drop down marker, it sends me back to the first page and deletes all the information I have already put it. I got the printable 90-day notification that is similar to the one attached to my passport. I see it is is APPROVED both on the app and the web app. I also received an email with the link to the printable page.
2. This is the challenging part
a. She left TH on her own and returned to TH on a day when our 90-day check in still coincides.
b. Same passport
c. We do our 90-day check in in person because the immigration office here does not allow sending it by mail or using the website. I know it is strange but we were specifically told to always do it in person
d. It was done within that time
Here's the weirdest part. I tried to cancel BOTH applications last night and for both reference numbers, I got a message that says DATA NOT FOUND
Well, we will just wait for the time when they finally allow us to go.
Thank you for your input. -

I'll wait -

Try again, chrome browser works, with the online version website, not the phone, as of 2 days ago. If you do not have a laptop, and app not working, try the online version. And if issues with that on phone call up desktop version of website.
The issue I had with phone app is that lat long location button shutting down app.
I used the web app twice already. Tried to cancel the first application before applying again but it said DATA NOT FOUND. Weird, so i just applied again. I have both PENDING
I totally skipped entering the lat long and in accepted all information. When I clicked submit, I got the service error message. -

Open the app and see if your status is there. Happened to me. Website didn't show it but the app had all the data from my web entries.
Thanks. I checked and the FIRST and the latest applications are still tagged as PENDING

Here's my experience with this.
I used the Android app to apply for the 90-day check in one day before the implemented the exemption.
I encountered some problems trying to enter my location. I skipped that one and got through. The following day, I received an email confirming that my application had been approved.
On the same day I applied for my 90-day notification, I did exactly the same thing for my wife and got a SERVICE ERROR message everytime i tried. I used 3 different devices and got the same error message. The following day, I used the immigration website and they finally accepted the application.
That was 10 days ago and the status stayed at PENDING.
I went back to the immigration website to CANCEL the application. When I entered the TM47 reference number, I got a message in Thai that translates to DATA NOT FOUND.
It is strange that It was very easy for me to get my 90=day notification but it seems impossible for my wife to get hers.
I tried applying for her AGAIN today. Let's see what happens -

They will not lift the exemption on the 30th. If they did end the emergency decree they would set a date for people to do 90 day reports. extend or leave the country.
Correction accepted but it would be a mad rush nonetheless.

Just out of curiosity, why do you people do the 90 days reports when you don't have to?
Here's the deal. If they lift the exemption on the 30th of this month, There will be a mad rush at the immigration office. No one wants to be there at that point. That defeats all this social distancing thing that we are imposing on ourselves.

You are staying put but it seems a lot can take the virus back home to you. If that is your house, there is no reason why they should be coming in and out like that.
If they want to take a risk with their health it is their choice. But when they endanger others, it is an entirely different story.- 13

The Songkran water fight will be moved to JULY if I heard it right.
School starts in July...
I am seeing a new disruption to the new school schedule. -

I have just renewed my 1-year contract at the start of this year. I would be surprised if the school doesn't honor my contract that extends up to 2021.
If you have a contract with the school, then they should not give you a pay cut.
Just in case they do, I guess labor laws would be on my side for the meantime. Renewing the contract next year would be an entirely different story.- 1

This is about to get catastrophic
188 is a number from the people who were tested around a week ago. I hope I'm wrong but more will be coming and this will be widespread as everyone displaced by the closure of malls go back to their provinces

Another report said she was tested negative but I doubt if the results could come as quickly as it supposedly did

Matthayom 1-3 Science Teachers
I would appreciate if there is a teacher here who could point me to the the right direction. I am looking for a SCIENCE book that is written in ENGLISH that is based on the current Thai curriculum.
I have been presented with a couple of options but the books that I have in hand have topics are structured in a different way.- Focus: Roughly follows the older thai curriculum but is too simple. The book provides the answer to its own questions and activities. This book writes the entire text in bulleted list which makes it like a Idiot's Guide book more than a science textbook
- Aksorn Science: It comes out with 2 textbooks and 2 workbooks for every year level which makes it an expensive choice
- Cambridge Checkpoint Science: Organizes all topics across all year levels into Biology, Chemistry, Physics which mixes up the topics and causes unnecessary repetition and overlap.
What book are you using? What textbook would you recommend? -

Meiji sells their milk for THB12.25. This leaves me with 25 satang and 50 satang coins.
Other products do that too. Why not just round off/up the price?

1. Nothing much. I can get everything that I need from my home country here.
2. Summer. I complain a lot about the heat but I prefer that over the cooler days.
Good luck on your research!
LCD Controller Board
in IT and Computers
Posted
Is there a place here in thailand that sells an LCD controller board preferably online? I am working on a DIY project converting the monitor of an old laptop into a stand alone external monitor. I got the LCD panel out already to see the model number- B154EW02. I would hate to see this go to the dump if I could recycle it somehow.
Thank you for any possible leads.
