  1. Just having a ticket out of the country (and back in, because I applied for multi-entry) was good enough for me. My consulate also asks for "round trip" and its a bit misleading.
  2. This is what I did, application was approved in 7 hours. Thanks everyone.
  3. Ahah, I think "returning to Thailand" is the hack I'm looking for. The ambiguity is hilarious.
  4. Thanks for the reply. Though as I noted I already purchased a 30 day policy. Seems that will be fine. I'm still just a bit apprehensive regarding the departure date/checkbox thing. What have others done?
  5. Hi all, I'm in the final stages of trip planning, Thailand Pass being the last hurdle. I have a multi-entry tourist visa so I'll get a 60 day stamp, and I have a flight booked out of country on day 89 of my stay (will be getting the extension). On page 1 it asks you for your departure date. I read around the forum and the consensus seems to be that 30 days covid insurance is all that's required, despite the actual length of your stay. So I purchased a 30 day policy. I find it curious though that on Thailand pass it states that your insurance policy must be valid your entire stay, and there is a check box asking you to confirm that this is true. Hmm. Surely, the logical thing would be if I click no on that box, they would reject my application, right? I'm well aware the Thai gov isn't always logical but I would like to know how people are navigating this. Should I just put a departure date within 30 days on page 1, allowing me to click yes on the box? My assumption is they won't be checking my inputs in Thai Pass against my visa information but I don't know. That seems like the safest move. But I would like to hear what others think/what others have done. Has anyone clicked no on that box? What happened? Anyones departure date later than their insurance coverage, clicked yes on the box and got approved? Appreciate thoughts. Cheers.
  6. Been having a bad experience with this company. Been trying to buy their Covid Inbound policy for several days but the online checkout doesn't work - it constantly throws the error "Something went wrong. Can you please try again? If the problem persists, please contact us via [email protected]." I've contacted them through email and they said they're working on it but again its been several days. I asked if they could sell me the policy through email or phone, not the web portal and didn't get a reply. Would not recommend.
  7. Hi all, I was recently approved for a multiple entry tourist e-visa. I've had quite a few Thai visas in my time but this is my first digital one. Just wondering how it works really, particularly considering its multi-entry. They just scan the QR code at the bottom and that's it? Do I get a stamp in my passport? Also, on the "visa" it has my last name first and first name second. I thought that may have been an error at first but I've read elsewhere on this forum that that's the normal formatting for these things, the same order it shows in the passport. Any thoughts appreciated. Cheers.
  8. Thanks for this detailed report, jojothai and I'm happy you made it. This situation is something that I've been thinking about a lot. I'm planning a trip to Bangkok within the next few months and getting the virus/testing positive close to my scheduled departure is my biggest fear. However after searching a bit its unclear if certificates of recovery are even available where I live (BC Canada). Out of curiosity, how much money did you end up paying for all this? Not looking for an exact number if you aren't comfortable but I hope you had refundable flights or something to that effect. I've traveled to Thailand a few times since 2017 with few hiccups. All the rules and restrictions these days are a huge pain. Cheers.
