22k coe certificates, non of which are tourists. Just people who need to come back to thailand.
This "scheme" they have implemented for the stv and all the hoops one has to jump through to get into thailand is something a tourist will not want to do.
They might get a few, but this plan is going to crash and burn like most of their other idiotic ideas.

The 15000 euro is probably not everymonth, but must show it being in the bank for 6 months for some strange reason.
No one making 15k euro a month will be entertaining a trip to thailand and the hoops to jump through to get there.
Plus quarantine on top of that.

sad to hear abt it , but the way they are handling this whole covid seems really dumb
are u going back thailand soon ? off topic abt , any idea of the insurance ( duration ) u need to get in ? assuming u are coming on NON O marriage visa
I will be back next year, but im not married, so would have to come back based on being a parent of a thai national.
One of the reasons immigration wouldnt give me an extension was because i wasnt married.
-
Unfortunately, i flew out on the 25th before any talk of the new extension.
I left my girlfriend and kids in Thailand, so i am not best pleased.
Immigration would not give me another extension and the british embassy wouldnt give me a letter.
So im a little <deleted> off about it.

In basement, Airport Link floor, Subway and ESarn restaurant next to it are open. Didn't see any others opened there.
On 3rd floor more or less everything looked opened.
I didn't go check but it seemed that canteen on the ground floor was opened at the far end of the airport.
All exchanges seemed closed. Boots and 7-11 were opened.
That's all on the outside... before the security check.
For domestic flights there's a different procedure now - there's a QR code for an app you need to download and fill out a form in it, then show it at the counters at the end of the queue to be allowed to board the plane. Seems standard stuff - your personal details and flight number.
Getting into the airport has temperature checks, like most other places.
Other than that (and the lack of tourists), it looks pretty close to normal.
Ah yes, the King Power shop has now moved outside to domestic arrivals and anyone can shop there, no need for the flight ticket.
Whats the app?

They should just give people 30 day extensions, until this covid mess is better.
They would make a killing.
Forget the embassy letters or doctors note.
Shooting themselves in the foot here.

Anybody been to the airport recently?
Was wondering if all the shops and restaurants are open?
I have a few hours to spare next week in there before my flight.
A beer would be nice before my flight and a bite to eat.

Booked my flight for next friday already, time for a change i think.
Going to bring the mrs and kids over to the uk.
I've lost interest in Thailand for the time being. Another 20/30 years until i can retire, will return then. And also for holidays in the meantime.
Im done with Thailand for now.

Ive booked my flight already, immigration wont give me an extension even though i have 2 kids here, not married.
I would be really fuxkin pixxed off if they extended the amnesty again after all this you must leave by the 26th talk from immigration.
I will get the girlfriend and kids to come to my home country next year.
I cant deal with the circus that is Thailand any more.

Hopefully this trash will be blacklisted from Thailand now, good riddance.
Why would he be blacklisted?
He committed the crime in the u.k.
Immigration probably arent even bothered.

They should really implement a digital nomad visa, loads of people here or have been here working online with tourist visa's etc....
-
Im flyinb home on the 25th, i hope it isnt busy at the immigration desk in bkk airport. Atleast the airport wont be jam packed like it used to be.
Im bringing to misses and kids over to the uk eventually, Thailand will just be a holiday destination to me now, not somewhere to live until i retire maybe.
I have 20/30 years left until retirement any way.????

Wait for the requirements,
Must have insurance of 1 billion dollars or more.
Must stay at a hotel that is listed on the TAT website for 50k baht a night.
Must wear a dog collar tracking device, so they can follow your every move.
Must only eat at 5 star restaurants.
Must not take photos of alcohol.
Must bot visit places of ill repute.
Must visit at least 5 temples a week.
And must sign a contract stating that you will only ever visit thailand and never visit another country ever again.
Simple and easy

Just booked with Swiss air direct from their website, they have flights every other day.

I thought he didnt have any symptons though, so a temperature check etc... wouldnt of helped.
I bet there are loads of asymptomatic people walking around thailand.

Good, they are a scurge. Mainlanders just do not know how to behave in other countries, where ever they go, they are rude, arrogant, and have zero manners.
They behave the same in China as well when they are on holiday.
Brainwashed by the ccp to believe they are the superior race.
I used to teach chinese students and believe me, they are taught to be like that.
Now dont get me wrong, there are some who are nice, kind and polite, but thats because they have spent time or lived in other countries.
Butnthe majority that you get in places like thailand are mainlanders.
If you wantbto see how they beahve in other countries, just search chinese tourists in youtube or go on reddit and type in r/chinesetourists.

Use an agent, they do it all for you.
I used key visa in pattaya, excellent service.
Tourism minister tells the Chinese: Come to Thailand, STV is not group tours

I highley believe that the chinese they have let come in with the stv's are not actually tourists, but people with some kind of ties to thailand maybe business or something else, perhaps buying property. Its highley unlikely you will be seeing these guys jumping on jet ski's or frequenting places that are dying without tourism.
Just my 2 cents.
