  1. It is classified as a 'dangerous drug" in Thailand and requires that First Grade Pharmacist is available, on duty at any pharmacy which sells the medication. Because records of all sales have to be maintained very few pharmacies can be bothered with the hassle of meeting both requirements and therefore do not stock the medication. Your best bet is to try one(or more) of the large pharmacies, smaller ones for sure will not stock it.

That link says "www.cambodiaonlinevisa.org is a privately owned company, not affiliated with the Cambodian Government " Unofficial websites offering visas should be avoided.

I would be very interested to see some accurate "Days on Market" or "Time on Market" figures here, not to mention the loss, or gain, on the sold properties.

I think this information would be quite a shock to some, and laughable to others.

A house near to us has been on the market for 4+ years - I suspect there are many others.

Strange that because the Thai Embassy London's website specifically excludes it.

    "Tourist Visa

    Requirement

This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter Thailand for tourism and medical treatment purposes only.

For other purposes than tourism and medical treatment, visitors to Thailand must apply for Non-Immigrant visas."

Check out the 'employment prohibited' comments on these recently issued TR Tourist Visa stamps.

Yep - and the Thai authorities are responding to the misuse of tourist visas by making it increasingly difficult to acquire serial back to back TVs within the region.

My fear is that a government will decide to tax the state pension for expats, arguing that as we are no longer resident for tax purposes we are not entitled to the personal tax allowance.

I don't know how realistic this fear is!  Can anyone comment?

Income is not taxed unless the threshold (currently £11,500) is reached. The SP is included in the calculation to determine if the threshold for paying tax has been reached.

  6. Visas are never renewed either within or outside Thailand. You have the option of applying for a NEW visa from outside Thailand or applying for an extension of stay within Thailand if you can meet the requirements which include having 400K Bht in a Thai bank or an income of 40K/month.

Before the coup 50% of the populace owned a smart phone, now everybody has one. Long term foreighners are less welcome than before the coup. Prices are up 30 %, the quality of service has declined 60%.
Other than that, nothing has changed. All is well.
    Cheers.

What is the source of those figures? An overactive imagination?

Make sure you have a re-entry permit and check with the Thai Embassy in DC or one of the Consulates (not the honorary ones) about renewal in case you cannot return within the year.

'Renewing' is not an option. If the OP cannot return before his extension expires the only option(s) he has are to obtain a new visa or enter Thailand with a visa exempt entry.
