  1. I have stayed for 5 years on the METV (3 months abroad each year) until Covid started. However, as you correctly stated you need to be careful. In my first year, the immigration officer in BKK gave me a look like I am a serial killer. After my 1st year I entered AND left only via land borders (Nong Khai and Sungai Golock). There are plenty of more options to get your 60 days extension. I usually went to Phu Nam Ron.

would be a better route. Because entering Thailand by air is for true bureaucracy lovers only.

That used to be my route all the way from Singapore before the pandemic. Please share border details and when and how your last trip went. Thank you!

Some just cannot distinguish between a working girl and a civilian. This is never appropriate behavior toward  a civilian, and only appropriate with a working girl, if a deal has been struck. Groping strangers is never right. And this is coming from a guy who is not PC, and not Me Too! It is about basic respect and civility.

    Agree!

  4. Good luck with those Indian tourists. I do not like to generalize as I have worked with good Indian people in the US but Indians from India may be a different story. I remember sitting with my girlfriend at a breakfast buffet in Phuket when a party of 4 Indians refused to get up and did order the staff to serve them.

Interestingly, the ethnicities that are disliked by Thai girls the most are Arabs AND Indians. ... No wonder

It is not straightforward. (Hopefully you are vaccinated.) In principle, you must enter Laos as part of a tour. There are travel agents in Nong Khai who can help with this. Then, you need a ThaiPass to return to Thailand which includes US$10,000 (starting May 1st) of Covid insurance for at least 30 days. The days of an easy border bounce (or an easy visa run) to Laos are not yet upon us.

Thank you so much, I will need to wait

    No

Only the crossing to Vientiane and a few Malaysia crossings are open and there are restrictions for entry.

Without doing further research, could you share what it takes to cross in Nong Khai right now. Are border runs possible there to get a stamp as I used to for a 9 month multi entry TV?

How do you see the timeline of opening in that regard? Also how about other borders like Phu Nam Ron?

    Thanks @ubonjoe!
