  1. I doubt it.  As soon as you get the "remark stamp" on a Visa, it's time to get a new passport ASAP, if intending to continue coming to Thailand using Tourist Visas.

You could do a Visa-Exempt by friendly land-border, if you have not done 2 this year, and do not have enough time left on your current permitted-stay for a new passport.

You could also sign up at a school, and get an ED Visa (a tourist remark-stamp won't matter), though the paperwork to prepare for your trip for the ED Visa is reported to take more time now than in the past.

Thanks. But I heard that ASEAN country got unlimited from land border?

This is my 2nd year of school so I need to wait about 3 months before applying for my 2nd ED visa

I’ve go to my embassy in Bangkok. They would not issue a new passport. They cannot issue a new passport except for permanent residence and/or 1 year visa holder

  2. Staying on tourist visas is only a short term option for him and his wife. Since the children are under the age of 15 they are not fined for an overstay or being banned from the country.
If he was to find work, obtain a work permit and apply for a one year extension of stay based upon working his family could get extensions based upon his for being members of his family.

    Thanks for your reply.

So his wife dont need another working permit? What is the requirements for his wife and kids? Legal marriage documents?

  3. Hi all.

My friend. Just come this month and planning to stay for a long time in Thailand, he bring his wife and 2 kids. I suggested to him to use tourist visa each 90 days for him and his wife / kids but travelling to mukdahan / laos is a long journey, his kids only 2 and 3 y/o which is I doubt they can bear 8-10 hours sitting.

Is there any visa option? What about working permit? Does his wife need a working permit too? What about their kids? Or only the husband apply working permit and his wife / kids attached to him? What is the requirements?

    Thanks

  4. If I want to come to thailand and start living there for a while doing border runs, would I get approved for a tourist visa while I'm still here in USA? It says on the tourist visa application that you need a flight both ways but I wanna make sure. Would a tourist visa get approved with a one way flight, or would it be a better option to just come on a visa-exemption, and not apply for a tourist visa?

Alternatively you can use fake tix out of the Kingdom which is has been used secretly by one of my friends for many years. They dont check with the airlines. Use at your own risk
