IMHO. IF you transfer that loan money directly to your wife’s bank account, there’s a chance that your wife’s assets will be confiscated, but it depend whether the both country has bilateral agreement or not.

Also I want to know you how your ED visa rejected?

There is a limit with TR visa. Is about 8-9 times before you will get remarks from the embassy, and there’s a limit 2 times per calendar year for 30 days visa. But if you are from ASEAN country they temporary lifted the limit CMIIW

As from my experiences at CW, They asked random person and only question over counter. Nothing serious.. but at least you need to know basic Thai language, daily conversation.

I doubt it. As soon as you get the "remark stamp" on a Visa, it's time to get a new passport ASAP, if intending to continue coming to Thailand using Tourist Visas.
You could do a Visa-Exempt by friendly land-border, if you have not done 2 this year, and do not have enough time left on your current permitted-stay for a new passport.
You could also sign up at a school, and get an ED Visa (a tourist remark-stamp won't matter), though the paperwork to prepare for your trip for the ED Visa is reported to take more time now than in the past.
Thanks. But I heard that ASEAN country got unlimited from land border?
This is my 2nd year of school so I need to wait about 3 months before applying for my 2nd ED visa
I’ve go to my embassy in Bangkok. They would not issue a new passport. They cannot issue a new passport except for permanent residence and/or 1 year visa holder

Staying on tourist visas is only a short term option for him and his wife. Since the children are under the age of 15 they are not fined for an overstay or being banned from the country.
If he was to find work, obtain a work permit and apply for a one year extension of stay based upon working his family could get extensions based upon his for being members of his family.
Thanks for your reply.
So his wife dont need another working permit? What is the requirements for his wife and kids? Legal marriage documents?

Hi all.
My friend. Just come this month and planning to stay for a long time in Thailand, he bring his wife and 2 kids. I suggested to him to use tourist visa each 90 days for him and his wife / kids but travelling to mukdahan / laos is a long journey, his kids only 2 and 3 y/o which is I doubt they can bear 8-10 hours sitting.
Is there any visa option? What about working permit? Does his wife need a working permit too? What about their kids? Or only the husband apply working permit and his wife / kids attached to him? What is the requirements?
Thanks

My agent put me in Anou paradise hotel. It just the opposite of the big river, pretty close to night market, 1-2 miles from the patuxai gate and 3 miles away from embassy

I dont have idea for switching visa, but if you planning to stay long in Thailand, better not to use ED visa, because AFAIK ED visa is only good for 2-3 years. Consider working permit if you willing to stay longer.. your agent should have this option.

If it was the only overstay it would probably not be a problem. It is either a long overstay or multiple ones.
Thank you!

If I want to come to thailand and start living there for a while doing border runs, would I get approved for a tourist visa while I'm still here in USA? It says on the tourist visa application that you need a flight both ways but I wanna make sure. Would a tourist visa get approved with a one way flight, or would it be a better option to just come on a visa-exemption, and not apply for a tourist visa?
Alternatively you can use fake tix out of the Kingdom which is has been used secretly by one of my friends for many years. They dont check with the airlines. Use at your own risk

A single overstay of that length will probably not cause you a problem when you enter Thailand with a visa. Avoid similar mistakes in the future.
What about applying Thai elite visa? It said that you must not ever over stay. It this case counted as over stay?

You could also get METV from your home country and if used carefully, that will give almost 9 months. People have reported back-to-back METVs. But long term on tourist visa is becoming hard.
Thailand seems to be wanting wealthy long-term tourists and one option is to use Elite Visa as some poster has suggested. It is 500K (baht) or approximately USD16K.
If you're young (between 30-40 or even less) and only want to spend a few years (2/3), it is not a good option. In that scenario, it is better to go for METV.
Love, marriage, wife is another option. Another option is to find a job. I don't know your situation and qualification, etc. If you're an independent freelancer working online, you can look into iglu or coffee asia. They will give you Business visa and WP and for a percentage of your incomes. You can look into those also.
Im interestes with iglu or coffee asia but i cannot find reference for coffee asia.
Can you explain more about this?
Do you have personal experiences about this?
Thank you

ED visa can help you but i suggest dont go often to any borders. Except for extensions or laos border. They are much more friendly than other borders.

This issue is real, two of my friends also reported that they had a difficulties when entering the kingdom, one from Poi Pet imm, and the other one is from Suvarnabhumi airport, both of them was suspecting for abusing the visa, they asking for hotel booking reservation, return ticket and need to showing money at least 3K baht (can raise up to 20K baht if you don't have hotel reservation and return ticket).
express visa direct on darkside-still open?
