Jomtien has been reported as wanting the 800k baht in the bank for 2 months when you apply for the non immigrant visa.
I am surprised they didn't hint that some amount of Baht would take of the problem.
Ubonjoe,
I Was offered at Photocopy Shop as. An Option.
I choose not to take it.
So sit wait and try again.
Hope this helps someone else and save the greif.

I'll make this short went to Jomtien to get a Non O Visa.
Get paperwork checked at front desk given a number sit
wait at desk 7 very slow. The place is full with people
truly amazing the amount of people coming and going.
So finally get to desk 7 and lady goes thru paperwork first say there is not enough
money in the bank account. I'm confused as more that 1.4 million in there.
poor communication skills. Say the money has not been in the account for two months.
I say to her sorry this is Non O Visa only needs to be in the bank on the day I apply.
No lady say for Non O and Retirement Visa the same.
I show her a link kindly send to me by Ubonjoe and again say this not right
Non O only need to be in on the day I apply.
Say Again I know next time for retirement needs to be in there for two months.
She tells me no must be two months so now I need to extend for 30 days to allow
the two months seasoning in the bank.
Now this where is just blowes my mind my Defaco partner is told to go
and get 12 mth visa as she has a Thai ID Card and House Book.
So she will get a 12 mth visa not have to show any money in a Thai Bank
or have it be required to be in the bank for 2 mths.
NO Proof of Income.
Yet we both live in the same house.
Ubonjoe I pressed the point as best I could showed the link made no diffrence
at all.
So I'm posting to make others of my experience hope it helps.
But this being Thailand nothing is standard or judgements made from common sesnse.
I had both a bank letter and statement showing the money cam in from Overseas
so what diffence does make to make to not give the visa.
I sat there starring at the No Tips Poster, the S in No Tips standing for Standardiation at Immigration.
Words are one thing but having them carried out and implemented are another.
TITS
Having used Cambodia for Visa's when you deal with Thai Immigration makes yiu shake your head.
Why make something so simply so complicated and involve a moutain of photocopying
and forms.
Because it keeps at lot of people empolyed and in the food chain...
Been said so many times , really is in need of a total overhaul.
But if the Embassy Letter is anything go by then there is No Hope.

In that case johng it didn't work we had a drunk mini van driver take out the New Street Light then the concrete power pole.
Lost power around 2:00am back on at 6:00am only for the day crew to come knock the power of until 6:00pm.
Not sure what happened to the driver, but saw the mini van towed away on a flat bed truck.
Maybe they would stand a better chance in the Center of the road as most vehicles try drive close to the gutter or one the other side of the center lane into oncoming traffic.

I cannot get over why in Dark Side
and maybe that’s he answer .
In some streets the New LED lights
are on both sides of the strret and yet others only one side is lit up.
Surely the point was LED cheaper to run so light the streets up .
Better and safer.

Regarding not selling you the floor model: The store cannot sell the floor model because it's not theirs to sell. The floor/display model (sometimes?) is property of the manufacturer (distributor?) and not the store. Hard to understand the reason, but it was confirmed to me at a couple stores. This was in Hua Hin at Power Buy and HomePro a few years ago, but I have no reason to believe it's not the same situation here and now.
Thanks wpcoe good to know.
Well it finally arrived on the 30th Nov and the Mrs has been Happily washing everyday since. It's a lot quieter than the LG we owned before and lucky a three pronged plug.
Thanks for the tip Crazygreg44.
Thanks for all the advice

my 5 cents to the washing machine. . . . . .if it gets set up by the Thai guys who will deliver it, make sure the machine housing is properly grounded. If a washing machine is connected to a two-wire Thai-style socket that has no ground wire, you are going to have a small problem when you touch a metal part (like the drum) . . . it will zapp you!
Thanks Crazygreg44 will keep that in mind should a ever see the
washing machine. As it only a two prong plug.
Banana7
How could they get something so basic so wrong.
3 more days will be asking for a full refund if a no show
this time.
Thanks
TV is going great guns, but no good with lots washing
awaiting a good scrub.

On the 12th Nov I went to buy a new washing machine and TV.
So after deciding which items to buy we were told the washing machine was not in stock
and they could not deliver until the 20th , the TV would not be delivered until the 25 th.
I' m thinking surely a company of this size would have a huge wharehouse and be able to source
overnight from Bangkok.
I enquired why we could have the one on display. No they needed it.
so rather that keep a customer that just brought a Washing Machine, Samsung TV and a Sound Bar
happy there need it for show. I was on he verge of walking out and thought 8 days and well have it.
TiT Oh No.....
Later they call said Washing Machine and TV and Sound Bar will come on the same day 25th.
TiT Oh No....
24th in the evening call to say the Washing Machine will not be coming till the 30th
well I was beyond pissed off. I have place a message and am awaiting a reply and answer
why is so hard to deliver as promised.
So be aware just because they are a Big Company they are unable to deliverd products
as promised . This is very poor level of service.
The guy's who delivered the TV and instaaled the Sohnd bar were great and I have nothing but praise
for their level of service. As for the people who have stuffed me around you are delivering a very
low level of serivce and I hope my experince is heard at the higher levels and someone can explain
and fix what ever problems they have in delivering products to Customers.
I had to hold beck my wife from chewing the delivery guys a second arse. Said its not thier fault
no good getting stuck into them.
Will post of any updates, but not holding my breath.
TV's not so imporatant .
Washing Machines, Fridge very important PB get your act together.
Not a Happy Power Buy Customer....

Nice report about your experience ????
In the pic of the tourist visa it says "copy of airline ticket into and out of Thailand" but they never mention the dates. Does that mean you can have the "out" part being 9 months out? Eg. Buy a return ticket from Sydney with the return date 9 months later?
Also, they don't seem to mention that they want to see your latest bank statement in that pic you attached. Have they scrapped this?
HI bbi1,
I had bank statement but lady picked My Annual Super Statement also had a ATM receipt as back up.
So guessing can use either.
Air Ticket would depend on your visa , so date would work around that I'd think.
The Attached I grabbed as they had them on the wall thought they might help others with the latest from Sydney Consulate.
Hope that helps

Hi,
Went to lodge my Mrs and My Tourist Visa application off this morning.
They open the lift at 09:00am but the windows don't open until 09:30am.

I stay with a friend I not need. Lady said you need a letter inviting you to stay
with them. Guy says there in Thailand.....
Yes you call them and ask for a letter. With that he packed up and left
to chase up the above.
I was up next had a ATM receipt from Bank from a withdraw before going to Consulate
to show proof of funds I had $11,000 in there.
Not needed she took My Annual Super Statement said that was better.

Been a few posts on this
Comes down to the owner to do
All depends where your living..
* Hotel up to them.
* Condo up to Owner.
* House up to Owner.
Not possible to report Online.
But a few lucky people do have access to
report online via a link with log in and password.
Others might be able to outline that better.

Think thats right to best my knowledge
Anyway
Hope that helps.

Hi,
Australian Dollar Down with posible more bad news ahead.

Or jump in that hope you can get a better rate than the mid to low 60's
talked about.
How do you handle times like this...?

I used WWW.XE.com/ currencyconverter.....when I pulled $100,000 from my Aussie super..two years ago ..very low rate now but ...I pulled 26.6 baht
Yeah the Oz has tanked the last week or so.
Remember the days when it was 29 and on few occassions
got 30.
Reconsidering it light of the current rate and how long before My super will release the money. i have put forms in early just awaiting confirmation they have recieved , then wait for work to send paperwork that I have finished working.
Might have to look at trip to Oz Embassy but would dread
that trip and extra side trip to get signature checked.
Making an appoinment and getting to Embassy in BKk traffic
bit of a nightmare. Know to stay clear of Fridays due to traffic
mayhem .
It' the same when you on Holiday do you change all at once or take risk rates will hold or get better.
Hope USA and China sort things out.
Got to believe the USA cannot keep climbing as it has been.
But has shocked many it has and for so long.

Hoping for a better rate its just bad timing right now.
