I used to walk all over the place when I was in Thailand. Dogs never tried to bite me. I have been very close to them. They would come near me and start barking. I just ignore them and keep walking or slow down. Try to run would be a stupid idea. I would never make any stupid gesture like trying to throw a rock or stick at them. Eventually they will stop barking and walk away.

Maybe place a little good will presence there. Easy to please the locals. There are enough Chabad Houses in Thailand. I am sure they are not involved with drugs, and human traffic...Ohh, the God's chosen people would never do that.

They keep a low profile in the USA. Lots Thai restaurants and some massage business in my area. I have never been to any Thai massage parlor or spa. I have no idea what goes on there. I usually confuse them with Central Americans or even Mexicans . But there are always some rich half Thai arrogant  kids to enrich the environment around here. Go to San Francisco it is like being in Bangkok. 

I just wonder who is behind these protests...Anti-government speeches, both in Thai and in English

$ 25 000. is not enough to pay for my annual rent where I live. And no, I am not rich. I would need a very good reason to invest $ 25 000. in Thailand. 

Any explanation to why those people were killed? Did they do anything stupid? Just curious. I know that foreigners never do anything stupid in Thailand.

Most Asians I think are like that. Some will tell you that they have a problem and need help, usually financial, but they don't ask you directly for money. So some men usually fall for that trap and give them money or buy them stuff. Then if there is a relationship created, and eventually a break up, the Asian can always say that they did not ask for anything but that you, on your own free will, offered to help them.

Maybe you have not been to San Francisco. It reminds what my French friend told that when she was visiting San Francisco. She said that she could not see one white person for miles. It was all Asians and specially Chinese.
