When a woman tells you she has no future with you she is kind of indicating to you what the relationship was really about from the beginning. Sad.
On an edit here. There's far too many incurable stds going around to be paying for sex thesedays. I've got chronic prostatitis now and I'm not sure if it's sex borne or not. I stopped it with the bar girls eons ago and just recently got remarried. It started with a bout of urinary retention that seemingly came out of nowhere. You can get prostatitis from oral and condoms do break. Let me tell you, this illness is worse than death. All of the stds can cause prostatitis. You don't want this. It's game over. Enjoy having some time to yourself and avoid nasty women. That's my advice.

For these people affected, I wonder if it would be better for them financially to switch over to the 1-Year Extension of Stay Based on Marriage? Then they will just need an income affidavit or show a thai bank depositing monthly 40,000k baht amount.
I don't know if this is even an option. This is what I am doing because I am under 50. Just an idea.

You can get the translations done at the MFA.
What are the fees like there? What do you think I'd be looking at, for two documents? The divorce decree and freedom to marry affidavit from US embassy.

Hello,
I am having some difficulty finding a good translation service near the US embassy. I need to have my affirmation of freedom to marry and divorce decree translated. There seems to be a lot of translation services near the embassy, but a lot have negative or no reviews online. I do not want to be take advantage of or receive improper documentation to take over to the MFA and Amphoe.
Thank you again!

Hello,
My fiance and I are getting married in May. Clearly, I have no intention of returning to the USA, maybe until Christmas.
The last time I came through suvarnabhumi they asked me for my "return ticket" . Is it okay for me to book a one way to thailand, and a second ticket to Cambodia? Will this cause any problems at the airport? Is my cambodia ticket proof of onward travel? Will the immigration officer in suvarnabhumi ask me for my ticket leaving cambodia?
Thank you in advance

I got an account at Bangkok Bank Phrom Phong /EmQuartier branch while using a tourist visa. The staff speak English in this branch and I've seen many non-Thai customers in there when I visit. The requirements, from their website:
I used a letter from my embassy and a copy of my condo contract.
Good luck.
I don't own any real estate in thailand. Siam legal can open a bank account for you for 150 usd. They have some kind of setup with some local banks in thailand. Im disabled. Two banks with my fiance, no luck, and I'm just going to give them a call. I can't run all over bangkok in my shape. I just can't. I love this woman so much, we simply can't be separated again. I'll get through this. It's not easy, but doable. Thank you everyone.

Sorry it was my misunderstanding you were Spanish. In that case the requirement is written as 12 months proof but hopefully they will allow less on first instance.
The police have actually issued a statement saying that they need proof of a bank deposit in lieu of the affidavit. Technically, one deposit is enough. However, some officers are looking for at least two months. Thanks. I think we'll do this and go to laos to be on the safe and easy side.

The income requirement is a letter from your Embassy confirming your income - the only time a bank deposit would be required would be for the 400k for two months so question was valid.
This is not the case for Americans anymore. The us embassy has ceased giving income letters out. Totally and completely abandoned the programme.

Thanks guys, this really helps. Kabkhub kawb. My next question is, in the odd instance that I am only able to get the marriage registered during my 45 days, how difficult will it be for me to get visa in Vientiane? My fiancee and I live in udon thani. We could go there together if we run out of time, rent a room for 200 month, and get this sorted. Reasonable option??? Provided we are positive we have ALL NECESSARY PAPERWORK before going into Laos.

Sorry if I seem short/rude by the way. I am a physical wreck and it's not you I'm angry with, it's years of dealing with societies treating me unfairly as a person with an ethnic handicap and near totally disabled person with limited income (62k baht per month welfare cheque).

I presume this is a typo but let us make sure.... 400,000 baht.
No, the income requirement is 40,000 baht every month. Unless that changed.
If they changed this, the hell with thailand's immigration laws, we will go to live in cambodia.
"Must meet the financial requirement
- Security deposit of THB 400,000 in a Thai Bank Account for at least 2 months prior to the visa application; or
- Monthly income of at least THB 40,000. A letter from the foreigner embassy has to be shown to verify this income"
For me us stupid yanks, we need to get a thai bank statement for two months instead of the affidavit. The us embassy is no longer issuing affidavits.

Hello,
Some "facts" (you can tell I am a veteran):
1) I will be in Bangkok next month.
2) I will enter on a 30 day visa exemption.
3) I understand it is difficult to open a bank account in most banks in Bangkok on a visa exemption.
4) I am engaged. My fiance and I are getting married in May.
5) I need to deposit 40,000 THB into a Thai bank account for 2 months prior to my application for my Thailand marriage visa.
So, I will need to have a Thai bank to deposit the required money into during April and May. We have loads of pictures together and she's got a 120,000 baht ring on her finger (No, I didn't buy the less expensive and more traditional gold, don't judge me please ???? I just like the ring. She does too.
What banks do you recommend in Bangkok that will be able to assist with my situation? (Engaged, on a 30 day visa exemption) Any recommendations/tips? Sorry if this has been beaten like a dead horse.
Thank you!

Hello,
I pretty much know the answer to this, I am going to have to hire an immigration attorney. Which is what I was trying to avoid, because its going to cost me too much.
But my question is fairly simple, the US embassy isn't providing income affidavits anymore. I'm a 90% VA disabled veteran and this is how I get my money. This translates to just over 62,000 baht per month. My fiance and I live in Esan so this is a good income.
I am getting married this summer and I will be switching out my usual routine 30 day visa-exempt for an "O" visa, to stay with her in Udon Thani. So I mean, I'm a little freaked out about the no more income affidavits thing anymore. What I could get is my VA award letter showing my income. I wonder, is there some way I could get this notorised and processed through foreign affairs or whatever, so I can prove my income to the kingdom?
I knew this thing would be a huge headache. Immigration. Its so frustrating when you're in love and you just want to be together.
Jorge.
