It's OK mate... they will probably go into Iran next and that will be their biggest mistake ever.... So i am sitting back with the popcorn and beers ready for the fireworks to start on that one.

Dont need to "go into". Just need to launch the B52s. Next.

Good bread it was too. And the women..., but we digress. I would certainly not relish having to eat Bat-soup but we have to live with reality, the Americans are so desperate for masks they're stealing paid for supplies from their best friend. By contrast the Chinese have it so far under control they're donating equipment to European countries, sending experts to help other countries.

Goldman Sachs is predicting the US economy will contract by 34% in the next quarter.

Your scientific "experts" at the CDC look massively inferior to China's and Germany's and Covid19 is rampant in the US.

You, the United States, will emerge from this virus severely weakened. Economically, politically, socially and most likely militarily (spending will have to be reduced massively now)

Why would we hitch our star to a nation that is so obviously in decline?

Following the party line neh? We much dont care what other countries do as long as they do what they are told when the shooting starts ????

And rightly so, we should really abolish politicians altogether and put experts in charge of running the country.

Thats the leadership principle we all need. Maybe it will work this time. Then again, folks who think they are experts and their supporters can look like anyhting from criminals to idiots in the eyes of history.

Thats fine, you are entiled to your opinion. You arent a Yank, so to be honest, most Americans care not one whit about that opinion either. BTW rob, I hope all of your kith and kin in Euroland are staying healthy and hangin in there.

No it is not a popularity contest it takes a leader who has the courage to do what’s best for his ship and crew and in captain Crozier case he’s also a carrier qualified fighter pilot kudos captain a fine example of leadership kudos sir

You dont know the guy. You dont know what his leadership ratings were. You dont know all the circumstances of this incident.  Being a qualified pilot is one thing. Being prepared, as a leader, to lead your men into combat knowing that many of them will die, means you need to make hard decisions. Preparing for those moments means you may take actions that would make you unpopular. The servicemen under you dont need to like you, they need to follow your instructions exactly.

You are taking a side in this because your of your hatred of our President. Basicaly, with absolutely no knowledge of the circumstances of this incident other than what you read in the papers and with little understanding of the essence of military leadership, you use this incident as just another excuse to amuse yourself and please the echo chamber with the sameoldsameold. Im surprised you havent claimed tht Putin caused the Cap to be fired.

I will give you credit, at least you keep your hate for Trump supporters a little quieter now, probably because I and others called you out on it.

I know, we take the same approach in Germany with American protests.

Would be nice of the US government to apologise for this piracy, but I doubt they have the good manners to do so.

Like I said, we did the same with Switzerland and Austria. Okay we apologised and aren't doing it anymore, so who knows maybe the US will make it good somehow to its  German friends, we shall see.

We owe Germany nothing. They owe us everything. But its off topic and we can save it for another day.

It's not about who to blame, really the world as a whole needs to find a solution.

No, its about blame too. China lied, people died. More victims of communism. The world needs to wake up and treat this like it is, the first shot in a war, albiet not a hot one yet.

How about the super sizing at some fast food companies, that

may be part of the problem. In some cities there are more fast food

    places to eat, than restaurants.

Yes, because the super sized triple big macs just leap off the counter and hurl themselves down your gullet. Sort of like how that rifle climbs out of the gun safe and kills folks.

Where I lived in China an outside toilet was a bare room with about 4 round holes in the cement. No partitions, you all squatted and talked together. One day I went into the ladies toilet by mistake and it was like a 'whack em ball' scene. All these squatting girls sprang straight up.

Out in hunting camps in Alaska, it was a hole in the ground  between two trees with a log crosspiece. Very unstable. ESpecially at 3 am in bear country with your pants down and a rifle across your lap.

Many tourist attractions in Siem Reap are closed simply because there are no tourists, however many local bars, shops, supermarkets and restaurants are still open and there are no restrictions on movements to these.

99% of the bars are now closed based on what I saw last night. Retaurants still doing take out are opne. There were a few lonesome folks out last night.

There is supposedly a curfew coming.
