Current Visa Situation
Hi. I had a METV which ended late July. I managed to use it for just under 9 months so all good . Just before it ended I went to Cambodia for 3 days flying back into Suvarnabhumi early August, so I arrived when the new visa rules were in force. The IO at the airport was originally not going to let me in. Luckily I had a flight booked to the UK on the 20th August. After about 20 minutes and discussions with her colleagues she grudgingly stamped me in until 29th September. I then flew out to the UK on the 20th August. I have a flight booked to return to Thailand (BKK) on the 18th October. It is my intention to apply for an AO when I arrive. I had been living on Phuket since January but my partner is about to move to a new job in Samui. I'm tempted to fly back this month (probably the 17th) for two weeks or 10 days to help with the move. I'm trying to guage the position with the new visa rules - especially given that they weren't too keen on letting me in at the start of August. Is it too much of a risk to come back mid September (even with a return flight) or is it now the case that with the new rules I should be OK. Also, does the fact that I have a stamp to the 29th September have any relevance even though I've left the country - I presume it doesn't. As previously, any option or help would be greatly appreciated.

Visa Stamp - bus or flying
Hi. I'm currently in Phnom Penh (arrived yesterday) as my last Thai visa ended today (30th). I plan to return to Bangkok on the 1st August. I have a flight booked from Bangkok to the UK on the 20th August and would prefer to spend the time in Thailand until then. My previous visa was METV. The first Thai stamp on the visa December 23 - flying into BKK. I then went to Lao Feb 24 and returned over land a few days later. During the visa I also had two return trips to Malaysia (via air) and a return flight to the UK. My question is, do these still count in respect of me returning to Thailand on the 1st August. My original plan was to come back on the bus (Phnom Penh to Bangkok) but I'd rather avoid the long journey and fly back. If I fly, I'm a bit worried they will refuse me entry as I've already had a few visa stamps through airports already this year. Any help would be much appreciated.

TM30 or lease
Thanks for the input guys. I was looking to see if the lease could be used, the info provided, answered that question. Decided to leave the licence application to when I come back in October and can sort out new accommodation.

TM30 or lease
Not sure. I'm not an immigration expert, hence the original post. If this means 90 day report then correct it's not relevant for me. Thanks

TM30 or lease
Hi. I'm in Thailand on a METV (UK). I arrived 24th December. I moved into a condo in Phuket on the 14th February. The condo is a sub let from the previous tenant who moved back to Bangkok. I'm named on the lease along with my partner. The lease is signed by the previous tenant. We have no issues with this and will see the lease out to its conclusion. I'm about to apply for a driving licence and need a letter of residence from Phuket immigration (Blue Tree). Can I use a copy of the lease agreement for the letter of residence? We contacted the managing agent for the condo and there hasn't been a TM30 completed as the actual owner doesn't know about the sub lease and we cannot get in contact with the previous tenant (our landlord). Opinions much appreciated.

Driving Licence - Facebook
Hi - this may be a stupid question but are the Facebook adverts for Thai and International Driving Licences legitimate. I've been in contact with one and they state that they can provide motorbike licence for £2k, Thai car licence £3k and International £4k, I just have to send some documents. Has anyone any experience of these businesses before. Thanks

Helicobacter Pylori
I'm half way through the 7 day medication. 2 x antibiotics plus 1 anti acid twice daily. I had my blood tested in the UK before moving to Thailand. No symptoms but the doctor says it's better to treat the bacteria as medical insurance may not pay out if it's noted on my medical records but not treated. Only drawback is no alcohol for 7 days 🙈

6 month multiple entry tourist visa options
Hi. I've posted a couple of questions on my visa already and the answers were most helpful. Hopefully this will be my final question on this visa. It's a 60 day multiple entry visa. The visa was granted on the 7th December. The "visa must be used by date" is the 3rd June. I'm in Malaysia late May and fly back to Phuket airport on the 1st June. I'm assuming that I should be ok for another 60 days from the 1st June with this visa. Is this correct? Or are my plans up in the air? Thanks

6 month multiple entry tourist visa options
Hi. I'm currently on 6 month multiple entry visa (from the UK). I go back to the UK at the start of August and then plan to return to Thailand mid October for another extended trip. My current 6 month visa seems to be fine as I'm travelling about other parts of SEA. I would like to apply for another 6 month multiple entry for the return in October. Are back to back 6 month multiple entry visas allowed? Thanks Andrew

Dentist - Patong to Bangtao Area
Hi. i'm looking for a dentist in Phuket. Nothing major, just check ups and the odd filling or two. Would anyone have a recommendation for a dentist around the Bangtao to Patong area. I'm based in Bangtao but have a feeling that Patong may have a lot more dentists and possibly less expensive. Thanks Andrew

Open a Thai bank account on tourist visa
Hi. I'm sure this topic will already have been covered but can't find it on the site. I will be visiting Thailand as a tourist with the 6 month visa over the first half of 2024. Later in 2024 I will apply for the retirement visa from the UK. I need a Thai bank account for the 80k baht. Can I open a Thai bank account when I'm there on the tourist visa. If so, what is required and any suggestions on the best bank/account to use. Thanks
