  1. I gave up drinking booze at 67 in 2020, half a year after I got a stent in my heart. I used to drink a lot of beer, especially when I was in the Navy for 20 years. Now that I live in Chiang Mai, there's nothing here that makes me want to drink. But I have an old Navy buddy who owns a bar in the eastern province, and I'll have a vodka soda when I see him once a year. I also enjoy having a little ganja brownie in the afternoon. It puts a big smile on my wife's face when she gets home from work.

    Styrofoam

Where can I dispose of some big pieces of Styrofoam that was used to pack a large piece of exercise equipment? I am looking for somewhere near or in San Kamphaeng district Chiang Mai. ♻️
  3. I have a 14-year-old dog who has a spinal problem that causes great pain at times. My vet in CM, who is the owner of the practice, told me without asking that she would euthanize him when I'm ready. In the meantime (now about every two weeks), he gets a shot of morphine plus an anti-inflammatory, plus a 3-day Fentanyl patch, and he's happy for about two weeks. He has been attending this practice for about 18 months.
  4. My Thai wife will be compulsorily retired without pension from her long time job at a International school this year. I bring in 65000 pm for O extension; hopefully I can then claim her as a dependant?🙏😁🤔
  5. I drive into it from my village near San Klang intersection, the new concrete is really smooth.☺️
  6. Living in CM I am wearing my PM 2.5 mask outside already.
  7. No problem though have only used Ebay once from Thailand though PayPal a number of times. I purchased a camera from Japan this year from Ebay and using PayPal was amazed at how smooth it all went.
  8. I have been twisted around a bit with the treatment of my little dog. Can someone please recommend a good English speaking, straight talking Vetinarian preferably in my area. I have been mucked around a bit with his treatment and would like another opinion before I go completely bonkers.
  9. Many thanks for the information. I have been looking for an access road which I felt would start from the road behind the Royal Alpine Golf Course (a road I often use). To this day I haven't been able to find the start..but great to know that a hand poured concrete road to the site exists. I did start driving one road yesterday but that led onto a gravel rutted track some 300 metres in so pulled out of that one. I would love to be many years younger to hike the trail but I'm not; I also have my old dog who is needs some monitoring due to his health so if I'm going to do it, it will be in my front wheel drive Honda HRV. Cheers Brian.
  10. I see this mountaintop structure quite often on my photographic outings in the Ban Thi district of Lamphun. I understand it could be known as the Doi Thon or Doi Ngom Viewpoint and sits on the border of CM and Lamphun. I would like to access it if possible to experience the views and take some photos. Would anyone have some information on this site and if it has a driveable access. Many thanks if you can post some info. I have attached a photo to know what I'm seeing.
  11. My wife is a teacher at a local international school and has been for 18 years. In two years time she has to retire from her job due to her age, but at the moment seems to enjoy cooking after her return from work each day, but she sometimes picks up some noodles on the way home. I'm now 70 and enjoy driving out to rural locations with the retired dog to fly my drone and take photos, I also enjoy amateur photography with the few cameras I have. I stay away from malls unless with my wife and generally travel in the opposite direction to our small city centre which is currently full of tourists.
  12. I always look forward to having my vegan lunches from Guan Imm and elsewhere on the weekends though I'm not a vegan. My meat intake though is lite, maybe a few times a week.
  13. Both front and rear cams for our two cars were purchased and fitted at Amnuay2 opposite Bangkok Hospital. Nicha is the owners daughter and the only one I think who speaks very good English.
