  1. I'm doing my first online report after having done my first in person. Only one question. At the very end it asks for contact person's details with a box above saying Use Login Information. I have never nominated a contact person prior; would it be my Thai wife even though I'm on retirement extension? Cheers.
  2. My IP Address says Chonburi Thailand....I am living in Chiangmai and AIS purchased in CM. So no real problem just curious why Shopee App doesn't see me as being in Thailand.
  3. No matter what I do or where I try to download from the result is always the same. Photo attached. Which means I use Lazada or Amazon in that order.
  4. I have tried many times to buy from Shopee but cannot download their app.....says not available in your country.....which has been Thailand for 6 months. They have a camera I want at 62000 but cannot buy and Lazada don't have it. I do not have a VPN activated on my phone. So use Lazada.
  5. I have two Phillips AC2887 air purifiers (PM2.5), and three of the local CM ones. Both of the Phillips have new filters and display the PM2.5 reading also; the local ones don't but I do have two Chinese Air Quality monitors for inside the house. The situation is the Phillips purifier/monitors give a vastly different reading from the stand alone monitors. I have attached two photos taken in my computer room which show two vastly different reading with the devices whilst standing two metres apart. The same goes in my living room with the other Phillips and stand alone monitor. As I'm in the at risk group so would like to know the current true reading of the PM2.5 particles so I can either put another purifier in the occupied space or not. At the moment I am running an air purifier 24/7 in the room I occupy. I chose to live here so please no lectures....I am just trying to adjust to the situation and am seeking advice on a way to get a true PM2.5 reading...perhaps a good monitor...not sure.
  6. I had a clothes rack delivered today which I had ordered, unfortunately a few of the verticle rails were damaged (photo taken). The seller of course blames the courier etc so no problem. Instead of further chat with the seller, I will pay a local to fix it so it can be put together. Does anyone out there know of someone who can do such a fix? I live in the San Kampheang District Tambon Ton Pao. Cheers.
  7. I have been looking at buying a phone from Alibaba or Trinity Electronics. Has someone out there done so and cost of bringing into Thailand. Cheers.
  8. That's a puzzle to me...I reviewed my settings a number of times using the help of some YouTubers and in the end bingo.
  9. Yes I'm using good cards; at the end if the day the problem was fixed.
  10. Yes, and did so in camera + cleaned up contact points. After that tested both cards in another camera.
  11. Does anyone know of a camera technician/guru in Chiangmai? I have a Fujifilm XT4 new, but not purchased in country. I have literally spent hours finding out why SD cards won't record an image. Have searched everywhere I know of and tested cards in another camera but the solution not found. I of course have revised my camera settings; looked at camera gurus on YouTube. Now looking for local help. To finalize, there is no card error message that comes up, just "no image" when looking at preview.
  12. I am looking at accommodation for 4 nights definately 2 April - 6 April 2023 for 2 including my small dog. My preferences in area would be somewhere known to be quieter. Today I did find somewhere that looks great with rooms specifically to accommodate pets as well but near the pool on ground level. Some older reviews state any rooms near the pool area tend to be noisey as had Chinese tour groups coming and going all hours; who also tended to be noisey around the pool. Okay.......not prejudiced but want relative quiet. The direct hotel quote including the dog (and his food and bedding was 10000) No problem but kind of put off now by previous reviews. Are there any pet owners out there who can recommend a good hotel that allow pets? Transport is no problem as driving there from another province.
  13. I enquired with the discount pharmacy in Babgkok; Lipitor 80MG x 30 pack $AUD106, full price same in Aust is $AUD16 without pensioner discount. So discount pharmacy ???
  14. Living in San Kamphaeng District; I was prescribed Atorvastatin and Metoprolol post NSTEMI early 2020 in Melbourne. I brought up enough to last until late January 2023 and will need to somehow obtain the same in my area to keep up its use. In Australia a prescription is required, so I guess it is here unless I travel all the way to a certain pharmacy in Kanchanaburi for it. My question is as I haven't been involved in the local medical system and hopefully never will, is finding a GP; my wife uses the Lanna Hospital under her national coverage so good for her. I am still organising health insurance, so in the meantime I will be paying for what or if any treatment required. How to find a good English speaking GP??? I am also assuming these meds are available in Chiangmai? Many thanks for any relative guidance out there .

    Dash Camera

I am looking for someone who can install my newly purchased 70mai Dash Cam A800S + Rear Cam Set. I am in suburban Chiangmai living in a village off San Kamphaeng Road; vehicle is Honda HRV.... Of course I will pay a fee for installation and attending at my house. Is there a forum member here that can do or know someone that can do.......properly. I am no tech head so hopeless with this type of stuff. Cheers.
  17. Myself, wife and little terrier are planning a road trip from Chiangmai to Nan Province for at least 4 days during the Christmas period. Can anyone from the forum give a recommendation from their experience of a human and pet friendly resort/homestay with views in Nan Province. Not having much luck with Agoda etc due the heavy "get you in" thing. Cheers.
  18. I am seeking personal recommendations from the forum on a pet friendly resort for myself, wife and small dog to stay for about 4 days in Nan Province Christmas period....travelling from Chiangmai. Have experienced nothing but frustrations with the major players in the travel arena such as Agoda etc. Cheers
  19. Many thanks CMBob; I found your response very helpful. Cheers
  20. Yes the TM 30 was filled out by my Thai landlord in front of myself and wife at the beginning of November when we started the lease. Apparently she has had foreigners before in her houses and is quite aware of this document.
  21. I will be going through CM Immigration drive thru....the attached note from Chonburi Immigration is copied from the rear of my passport where the TM 7 is mentioned
  22. This is a pretty big forum and I'm sure my answer is there some where, but to save time I will ask the circle of knowledge. My first 90 day report is due late January 2023; I understand that along with my passport I will need the TM 47 together with the TM 7 for my first report and to appear in person. At the base of the TM 7 page 2 there is a place for your photo......it also mentions something about a fee. Can someone enlighten me about the TM 7 fee amount/requirement thanks.
  23. It seems from the few replies other than the marriage extension there is little reason to have my Aussie marriage to a Thai national recognised in Thailand. I refer to my wife as my Aussie wife because of this laugh laugh. Cheers.
